Resonated heavily. Been in a relationship for almost 2 years with a narc/manipulative avoidant. Literally manipulated me out of my job, and hid my birth control to get me pregnant and keep me stuck. Always ran to his karmic mother to talk shit, instead of having an adult conversation and just take accountability with me and figure it out. Never owned his side of the road. Didn't realize this whole time that he was treating me terrible and having me in such a bad headspace that I was in a mental prison and basically trapped that one day I would just wake up from this nightmare and the trauma bond would be broken. I'm financially trapped currently but completely numb. Just saved up enough to buy a computer. I'm gonna build an online business and then bolt. Like bye demon. He's been my biggest lesson I'll be honest. But dude he toyed with my head and my emotions so badly that I reached the brink of ending it on multiple occasions. He did it for fun. True evil. And his mom was in on it too. He pushed me too damn far though. I'm no longer making up excuses for his dumb ass in my head anymore. Like bro we've all had bad child hoods..not all of us are evil like this guy. Honestly this whole time I thought he was just not intelligent, but looking back I see it all. Narcs play dumb. It works. I am now a healing empath, and had to fully face my shadow side that allowed this whole mess to happen. The part of me that romanticized the longing and distance. Never again will I allow any of this shit. I now fully know my worth. Now that he knows I'm starting a business online, he's on his best behavior. He never thought I'd have options to leave, and treated me like shit when I didn't. It's all a facade and manipulation now. I'm just playing along to get along until I can get the F out of here, but I see through the mask fully now. I keep a mobile phone diary with a password to keep my wits about me and to remind me of reality because I'll be honest it's easy to get sucked into the "what if" again if you don't literally keep a written document of what has occurred. I can't wait to be done here. So yeah. That's how it resonated for me. Don't know what ya got til it's gonna I guess. The effed up thing is I offered him 100x more than he ever got out of manipulating me. I was real and sincere from the start. It's wild. Played himself bad. And he's waking up to that fact. Ultimately I'm thankful for it all and I don't hate him. He played his part. He caused a dark night, ego death, and spiritual awakening to the fullest. Even while in this situation still I have found my peace. I no longer react to his BS. The roles have been flipped. Now he has to act right to get any amount of my attention. It's wild to watch how he switched up completely only because his abandonment wounds have been triggered and he's scared to lose me.
