Follow these steps to install the long arm lift kit on TRX-4. The lift kit adds over an inch of ground clearance to any TRX-4 model.

Awesome upgrade to my ‘79 Bronco. Everything fit perfect. Took about 2hrs and 7 beers to complete. Looks really good. Plus I installed brass portal outters and inners on the front and otters on the back. Not running the 2.2 wheels but instead have a set of 1.9 steel beadlocks with the newer Super Swamper XL tires. Perfect stance and I installed the 10t motor gear. After all, it’s a crawler not a racer. Works perfect. Cant wait to go hit my trails tomorrow. Thanks Traxxas for another amazing product...

I installed it without the servo mount and added an aluminum spacer to the steering link where it connects to the metal servo horn. You must drill it out for an M4 bolt. The suspension geometry stays perfect with no bump steer. You get insane articulation and travel. It now climbs and crawls like a goat with a droop setup.

Funny you say that man.... I just got back into RC and got my first Trail/Rock rig. I went with the Bronco because I heard the TRX4 is bullet proof and I care more about reliability and having fun for years to come as opposed to having the most "capable" rig. Make a long story short when I was at the Hobby store a week or so after my purchase I saw a young man buying the Red version. I told him I just bought the Sunset and we started chatting. He said he was buying after getting recommended it by a friend even though he has a couple Axial rigs...All because he is sick and tired of breaking. Makes me very happy of my decision.

For crawlers, use 1.9 tires, ditch the shock travel limiter spacers and super stiff shock springs and get the white rated springs... Have a awesome droop setup

I'm gonna ask you cause no one else seems to know how to answer this.. do you know how to avoid the panhard bar hitting my servo under compression? It only happens on the left side

@@leroyjenkins369 Remove the servo mount and shave it down so that your servo sits higher into the frame. You then have to add a spacer on the servo horn to the steering link to keep the correct geometry and not get bump steer.

those shocks are way to stiff for that lighter bronco body. traxxas gives you 30wt, use a 10wt instead for proper articulation

Great for a mud truck but idk how well it works for crawling most the time u wanna lower the center of gravity n this seems like it’s gonna make it top heavy, but it does look sweet!

i have the trx4 sport and i cant use the new lift servo mount. am i looking at something wrong? it wont fit in there with the existing plastic piece that clamps on top?

I did exactly what you said. have u realized that when your truck is fully stopped, then you start going foward you gonna see the back of the truck pushing the suspension down, the you go backwards it go up to normal again , then foward and start pushing down ... I dont know whats happening, does someone is having or did realized that???

Might be the dig function in the portals . your front tires spin faster then the rears. So your front is pulling and back is following. Good for crawling

No 2.2 wheels have the same hex as 1.9 wheels.

besides making the truck look kind of dumb that seems like a whole lot of trouble when you can just tighten the nut on the coil Spring I do a lot of rock crawling but I try to keep it real so I don't find any need for lift kit

Freaking worst piece of kit i have ever had my hands on ... bloody hell and absolute nightmare to put on. For long wheel base models at least ... almost impossible to change heads on the rods without damaging them ... drive shafts are not even close to what the book tells you to use ...

No I can confirm it’s absolutely garbage for the long wheelbase…it doesn’t accept the new servo mount so the steering link and panhard bar bind and catch on each other

I've been a Traxxas guy since they replaced the sledgehammer with the stampede in the mid 90s. Now all they want to do is rape you. Look almost 200.00 for this lift kit? Without larger tires. And look at prices for other accessories. Not cool Traxxas. (Fastest name in rc) where do we need to do 60mph in top heavy monster trucks? An empty parking lot at 1am? Get real. You're just ripping people off these days. Shame on you.
