Unfun fact: Spring day is theorized to be dedicated to the victims of the sewol ferry accident, where 304 people, 250 of which were high school students, passed away on a sunken ship during a field trip. The captain told students to stay where they were and escaped the ship with crew members, leaving the kids on the ship. Edit: i call it a theory cause bts hasn’t said outright that its true but this theory is so probable that people just say its true Edit 2: 3k????!! Holy crap Thank you!! Edit 3: if you really want to have your day ruined, there are videos on youtube showing the students on the ship.

Actually, Spring Day is not really a break-up song ... It's a song contributed to the victims of the Sewol boat accidents. They were all students, they were all in their "spring" age.

Like most of their songs, there are multiple meanings. It's also about friendship and longing for those who are gone/far away. That's one thing I love so much about Bangtan's music. There's never just one simple meaning, and they can be interpreted multiple ways. Like Fake Love being both about relationships and also about the love for one's self.

@@pher7514 isn't being someone gone also can be someone missing? Tho it's true it's not about the Sewol Tragedy still if people feel comfort by listening to this song then I think it would be okay. RM may got the story from a missing friend while other people can interpret it in their stead. That's what people say writing music about, it should be vague that people van relate and insert themselves in a song. (idk why but I almost hear it whenever I speak about lyrics) Also when you consider the music video. I've seen somewhere that when there's a shoes hanging on a tree it means death. RM may wrote about his missing friend in mind but the director and the producer of the mv have something in mind. They put references for watchers to interpret and there are multiple of it.

Maybe people didn't know what the song really meant and I'm just pointing it out, being the good samaritan that I am. When they say that V is free spirited, they aren't kidding. Once V got lost in a new country while shooting for bon voyage season 1, and guess what he did? He went skipping in a field acting like everything was going according to plan. His cameraman probably had a heart attack that day, lol. That's something I really love about V. He has such a whimsical vibe. And he's an absolute sweetheart.

Sure, some of their songs aren't as well known in the fandom, but none of their songs sit at a specific number. "spring day" is actually about friendship/ losing friends its dedicated/reference for the sewol ferry tragedy back in 2014 i think its a field trip, hundreds of kids/teens died to that tragedy there's a whole interview with the survivors there when theyre inside the ferry they all texted their parents that they cant live any longer & sending their last i love you, it's very emotional... plus they also put chris evan's movie "snowpiercer" by bong joonho as their reference to that mv so nice
