The gym I used to attend had incredibly massive heavy bags no one dared to lay a finger on them because its so easy to break your hands it was like hitting a brick wall. And then you got Beterbiev is out here toying this heavybag making it swing around lmao

you guys didn't wear wraps and gloves? I've trained in gyms in north america and europe and never saw anyone afraid to hit any of the bags...were you guys boxing or was it something where you didn't wear gloves? I'm 148 and I prefer the hardest bag humanly possible so I'm genuinely confused by the idea that anyone who is trained to box and wearing wraps and gloves would ever worry about breaking their hands on a bag...

@@DRS659 Well we often did drills at the gym everyday where you have to hit the bag full force for a few rounds and lets just say If you pick your punches and you dont hit the bag hard as hard as you can then you might get away with it but if you keep hitting the heavybag full force you will get injured one day trust me and im 100% sure you will if you keep doing it everyday. You can't hit the heavy bag with full force every day as you will run into overuse injuries quickly. I WAS training everyday for 3-4 years and you hit a heavybag full force through through long periods. It also depends on the frequency of your trainings. Breaking your hand even once is the worst thing in boxing because that injury will always comeback to bite you if you're reckless with your trainings.

I boxed for years as well sometimes training 5 days a week with former pros/olympic coaches/golden and silver glove champions...yeah you can injure your hands, I certainly have but never that bad. Sounds like you guys weren't dong enough conditioning or wearing 10oz gloves with no wraps or something. What you're saying is completely inconsistent with my experience of 8 years of boxing in different countries on different continents...where were you training? What size gloves were you wearing? and what level of experience did your trainers have? cause in 8 years I never saw anything close to what you're saying

@@DRS659 Well you can go ahead and keep hiting heavybags then follow your own advice but I wont because pro fighters and coaches who have seen it all told me to watch out when hitting it. Dont be surprised when you break your head one day or another 🤣🤣 Seasoned pro fighters like Evander Holyfield, Miguel Cotto, Nonito Donaire,Amir Khan all broke their hand while hitting the bag... But you probably dont hit as hard as them thats why the impact wasnt significant in your hand. You were lucky enough to never break your hand but you might not be as lucky in the future if you keep doing that. hand injuries are also more likely to happen depending on your punching power but then you only weigh 148 pounds so I doubt that you're hittting the heavybag as hard as the people I trained with and seen get injured.

@@ba10mob69 I probably hit somewhere as hard as khan to be honest. even wearing wraps, 16oz gloves, I've had injuries but not even close to broken bones like I said if your condition is garbage or you technique is horrible or you are hitting a bag with tiny gloves then breaking your hand is very possible...and I'd like to see where you say that those guys broke their hands on bags please, feel free to provide that proof. I've personally watched razor ruddock at 55 years old hit the hardest bag in our gym harder than any human I've ever personally watched hit anything for 5 or 6 rounds straight NO PROBLEM even at that age...tony morisson (not tommy) TKO'd spinks, trained me for years...watched him hit the hardest bags you could imagine at 55 years old ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM....again what gym are you in and who is training you? are you doing any conditioning? are you wearing 10 oz gloves with no wraps? I really don't get why your so adamant about this cause it's just not reality man...if you're being an idiot and not doing any conditioning and hitting a bag with tiny gloves with no wraps you deserve to break your hand though I will say that

@@Rockymarciono731they never fought as amateurs. When Bivol joined the national team, Beterbiev was close to being on his way out. They never even truly sparred. One time they had a sort of sparring practice together that lasted about a round.

I think one of the things that makes him so scary is how calm he is approaching his opponents. Like a guy about to chop down a tree or dig a hole...or demolish something. The opposite of other power punchers who are all agression.
