You added salt twice

Yeah, I did. Thank you for pointing that out. The first time, you add a pinch of salt or so to give the omena some taste. If you cook it without the salt initially, it won't taste very good. The second time, you add a little bit of salt in the tomatoes to give them taste also. You don't want to add all of it in one go at any stage as it will make the omena extra salty. Hope this answers the query.
