Today we are going to take a look at a super easy chord progression, which is used often in trap and make a full beat with it. #opz #teenageengineering #musicproduction

Somewhat dark and mysterious this beat. Great work as always :)

Thanks. Yeah this chord progression always sound like that, because of that small semi-tone change. Gives it that horror vibe.

Nice one! Actually the most interesting thing for me was how you did the such a good arrangement on OP-Z, would be helpful to watch a video about it
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I have an arrangement video, that I always link to, just before showing the full beat...but nevertheless I'll make another one soon giving some quick tips for arrangement. Thanks for watching!

Ur probably most pro Opz user on the planet;) I learnt a lot of things (that are even not mentioned in the f*** manual) from your videos. I am curious how you manage your samples, since obviously you are using a lot of custom samples
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I don't really manage much...I fill the OP-Z up with samples, once I get bored with them I delete them as I see fit. And I often do complete backups of my OP-Z, in case I want to revisit certain projects. I WISH they would implement sample storage and editing within the app...
@artephank2 жыл бұрын
@@SONWU bow how do you transfer them to Opz? By creating aiff files with one of the apps or you just sampling?. I am curious, because I personally just sample - creating aiffs is to cumbersome to me, but perhaps there is the better way, I wonder:)
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
@@artephank Yeah, I just sample stuff directly too...only for drums I create files using the OP-1 drum utility!

When you were placing the hi hats, what did you mean by “shift it to the right”?
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
When you press down a step, then press - or + ...you can adjust the microtiming of that step. So I am making that step play slightly "late"

Hi Son Wu, i really appreciate you videos. How do you record your live sessions?
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks! I record the stereo out (not USB) with my Behringer UMC 1820 into Ableton Live. And for my microphone I use a Sennheiser MD 422. And just in case you are interested in which camera I use, Panasonic G8 (I think).

@@SONWU you are the best! Thank you very much! Are there another's ways to record if you not have an audio interface device?
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
@@ciskoradiohead My pleasure! Yes, the OP-Z is recognized as an audio interface, when connected to a computer or phone via USB...so you can just record it over USB, no problem!
