When u get Naan or roti u are suppose to scope it with gravy dish whatsoever dnt eat with spoon alone u can use spoon to help put any dish on your Naan or roti .try paratha and Rumali roti they have a purpose to be eaten with ex palak paneer or any gray dish

When ever you eat palak paneer or baigan bharta, just add 10 to 15 GM's of non salted white butter and few drops of lemon to it and enjoy it with small onion in vinager.

You won't find eggs and non-vegetarian items in holy places like Varanasi, Rishikesh, Haridwar etc. easily. Also try Kadhai Paneer, it has sauté onions, capsicums and tomatoes.

Hindus tend to not consume non-vegetarian food in a holy environment, hence the absence of eggs with most meals. While in Varanasi, you might want to consider trying dishes like Chole bhature Tarkari alu puri Arhar dal chaval with bhindi (okra) subzi. There used to be a restaurant called "Chotiwala", which served these. Not sure if it is still there.

The waiter was not trying to be formal with you it's casual for him and he does this with others as well because as per his innocence he don't know that this gesture could be rude to anyone 🤷🤷☺️
