Not trying to be a dick, but it's a radial arm saw, a mortising press, a router table, and a tablesaw in almost every video. Not saying he doesn't have a competent shop, but he isn't even showing the jointer, planer, beltsanders, disc sander, oscillating sander, etc etc etc the kiln probably, or the paint booth etc that most production shops have.

Yeah he messed up his markings on the 45degree cut, so from the drawing it wouldn’t have fit, the machine did the job, then on his handsaw work… why go to the routerbench of you were just with your handsaw? 😂 like you said a timber machinist.

@mellowsign

@@LookingGlass69 Except they weren't criticizing the dish, they were criticizing the process. A fallacy like that exists, but this isn't it. Making that kind of flush cut with a spineless hand saw is incredibly difficult, and if you accidentally take off too much material even once you ruin the joint. It's more like getting a perfect dish and then complaining that the chef used a cheese grater rather than cutting hundreds of perfect tiny shreds by hand. A pointless complaint that shows you're completely clueless about what makes a good chef/woodworker.
@Tinhead426
@Tinhead426 Жыл бұрын
@@mellowsign Having used a spineless hand saw i can confirm its a pain. It's better to cut further away from your line, and then clean it up with a tool youll have more control with than to try and cut exactly down your line. As they say you can always remove material but you can't put it back.

Hello, That would make a nice hand rail connection. Cool looking and strong.

I'm not so sure about strength. A handrail wouldn't need to support a lot of weight, so it might be okay. But I think it could split easily, if there was pressure on the sides.
