Thanks for giving this one another chance. Loved this song. Please post your song and band suggestions. The weirder and more unique, the better!!! Looking forward to discovering some more new music. I will also be continuing my Band Maid deep dive over the next few months.

Really good breakdown, analysis, and reaction. Thank you for taking feedback in a humble manner. That speaks volumes about your character. You might want to check out From Now On MV which is a fantastic instrumental. They also just dropped Hate which is a high energy live MV with some surprises

Thank you for your insight. Band-Maid is usually praised by musicians like you, who can recognize and appreciate musical creativity of these unassuming super-talented ladies.

Thanks for the insights. What I like the most about Mincho's solos is how she incorporates chords into the single notes she plays. Makes the solo sound fuller with more drive. That's what really caught my attention when I first heard them. Then you replay it a hundred times and find something else you missed. Thanks again.

Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction and analysis. "Dice" was my introduction to The Maids and it sucked me STRAIGHT down the Pigeonhole, so I love this song too! Thanks much! 🕊

Hey man, as someone who has all the musical talent of a burst sausage, I appreciated your insights and info. I know most of their songs inside and out from a casual listening POV anyway. Subbed, and if you feel like doing deeper dives after/alongside song reactions, I'll be here for them. Peace.

Very good presentation! Glad that you took all of the prior suggestions to heart and bravely tried again. Very good job this time, I knew that you could do it much better and you did not disappoint. Nice commentaries throughout and I liked how you tossed your own guitar skills into your review mix. Nicely informative and well worth watching. Great to hear what parts you especially liked and found interesting. Happy that you are starting to find your review/reaction groove and as time goes by, you will undoubtably get better and better at it. You show a lot of promise to be a great reviewer. Band-Maid excels at being a live band, so I suggest their official live performance of their song "Hate?" from their November 2023 concert at Japan's Yokohama Arena. it's an amazing hard-hitting song featuring a soon-to-be legendary guitar/bass battle between Kanami and Misa. This one can't be missed. Cheers!

Thank you for reacting to this absolute banger. The members of the band have often said they prefer playing live so the studio recordings are kept as live sounding as possible. Kanami has started to use more effects and pre-recorded sounds on later tracks.

If you want to know the guitar chords, Justin Hawkins did a pretty good analysis. He even said something similar "Something around E minor." He also said it reminded him if "You Should Me Mine" by G&R and "Big Guns" AC/DC.

I actually enjoyed your first reaction but then I know the songs inside out and I am pleased you came back after the criticism you got. It might be worth listening to and enjoying the whole song and then analysing some of the key riffs you took from it after. Band Maid is a deep dive and I hope your Band Maid journey is as enjoyable as mine has been.

Great reaction! Thanks for giving it another shot. Always fun to see a musician discovering Band-Maid. You can really appreciate the work these ladies put into their songs both compositionally and technically. Wonderfully nostalgic yet fresh and innovative. They remind me of the best of the rock of my youth.

FYI, if you want to want to confirm what is 'actual' and what is production, please check out their live performance of DICE/HATE? at Lollapaloosa 2023 (a live performance video). You will get to experience their ability as a real band. Nice reaction, thank you.

Better yet, watch Band-Maid's newly released "Hate?" music video from their November 2023 live concert at Japan's Yokohama Arena. The sound and camera angles of this performance are first rate. Kanami's guitar and Misa's bass duel is amazing along with Akane's exceptionally on point drumming. Vocals are great also. It's a dynamic banger of a song!

Thanks for the breakdown, Sam. I enjoyed your reaction and analysis this time, because I felt more engaged and involved. It’s cool that you enjoy finding out how songs work though your guitar, and I appreciate that you want to find an audience for that. Many viewers like me will probably be quite familiar with the songs you are reacting to, and have come to find out about and feel engaged with you as a person. I’m very much looking forward to learning more about you and your music/ reaction journey. Stay safe, get some sleep, keep smiling. Subbed.

Love the analysis, your commentaries and reactions. It helps those of us who don't have a background in music appreciate Band-Maid all that much more. Looking forward to seeing many more analysis of their songs going forward. Check out their official live videos, especially their latest video drop. It's called Hate? at Yokohama Arena. And don't be shy about asking for the likes and subscriptions to your channel. Maidiacs are very generous and supportive of reactors who appreciate Band-Maid. Cheers!

I’m a guitarist as well as a Maidiac. “DICE” is so familiar to my ears while being completely new and interesting. When I first heard Kanami’s riff, I thought, “Hey! Classic rock, should be easy to pick up!” 😂 After a half hour of noodling, I gave up. Couldn’t get correct what sounded like a simple riff. And I’ve played and learned by ear for over 40 years. Watch the official video of Kanami and Miku playing their parts. It is nothing like you would think. How she came up with it? That’s why she is The Riff Goddess 🤘🏽

Dude much better reaction and glad you took the feedback and rolled with it. Kanami records all the guitar parts (at this time) through her Messa Boogie (for hers and Miku's parts) then as she has said she wants the whole song to sound if possible live. They do have additional backing tracks on some songs for layering and effects live but it is mininal. There are also some vocal layering backing tracks on some songs as well. But she has always said if you can't play a song to its potential live what is the point of over engineering it. Carry on with great work as some others have said check out Hate? live from Yokohamma or From Now on/Onset instrumentals they will blow you away.

I tuned out of the last one. This was much better. Thanks for coming back. Some of the criticism in the comments seemed pretty harsh, and it would have driven a lot of people away from the band and its fans, and that would have been a shame. Band-Maid has a catchy top line to their songs that makes it accessible, but a lot of their biggest fans are musicians who like all of the interesting details that go into their writing. People like you help bridge that divide, calling out those details so non musicians can appreciate them, too. Glad you’re enjoying them, and I’m looking forward to your next one. It seems like figuring out how to play parts helps you to focus your analysis, so I think it’s good that you’re doing it, but if it takes more than a few attempts to walk it in, and you’re not talking while you do it, just editing those out can keep the video tighter and probably more enjoyable for most viewers. It’s not that we want to just listen to the song. We could just go listen to the song. We just need to be engaged with you, in a way that we’re not if you’re only engaged with your guitar. As for the band, they pride themselves on being a live band. They’re not just musicians. They’re entertainers. Happiest when they’re making a crowd happy. Sometimes a studio version of one of their songs is preferable because the mix and clarity is the best, but to understand what they’re about, you have to see their live performances. Their recent ones (released after Shambles) are really good. They usually mix the lead guitar too low, but the recent ones are much better.

Dude, I remember that reaction, but don't bother, neither Band-Maid nor the fans need you to give them another try. What you need is to realize yourself as a musician and guitarist so you don't have to analyze bands that don't care nor interest you.🤪
