the green jelly bean looking one is the palm nut they candied it for toppings ,and halo halo you suppose to mix it all up before eating ,but its up to anyone how they eat it ...i personally doesnt like to mix it up i just start eating it the way it is ...love halo halo

LUMPIANG SHANGHAI - a Filipino egg roll dish. The filling or meat mixture is mainly composed of ground pork, minced carrots, and minced onion. Spices and seasonings are added into the mixture. It is then wrapped and rolled individually in thin flour sheets known as lumpia wrappers.

So glad you liked the food. It looked like the lumpiang shanghai was no longer crispy when you had it. Your gf would have loved it even more. The contrast of the crispy lumpia wrapper and the pork filling is to die for! I do hope you find your way to the Philippines after the pandemic. We Filipinos love kind people who are genuinely appreciative of our culture. You'll feel right at home here.

HALO-HALO a popular cold dessert in the Philippines made up of crushed ice, evaporated milk or coconut milk, and various ingredients including ube jam (ube halaya), sweetened kidney or garbanzo beans, coconut strips, sago, gulaman (agar), pinipig, boiled taro or soft yams in cubes, flan, slices or portions of fruit preserves and other root crop preserves. The dessert is topped with a scoop of ube or mango ice cream. It is usually prepared in a tall clear glass and served with a long spoon

PANCIT CANTON - is a Filipino noodle dish that is of Chinese origin. This is prepared pretty much like the Pancit Bihon, though an obvious distinction would be the noodles used (rice sticks vs. flour sticks). This dish closely resembles the Chow Mein but preparation and some ingredients vary.

lumpia (spring roll) is supposed to be crunchy but maybe it took a while so it got softer but it's best eaten hot. maybe they hadn't cooked it long enough, too, to. maintain the crunchiness of the wrapper.

Finally you tried Filipino food. 😊 I have been waiting for you to do so. So much more you need to try like lechon kawali dipped in either liver sauce or soy sauce with 🍋, onions, garlic and 🌶️; whichever you prefer. Pancit bihon, super thin glass noodle dish, goes so we'll we that but we do eat most everything with garlic rice. More videos of you enjoying our food please.

Before you eat Halo-Halo you have to mixed it first before you start eating it. So that the sweetness and other flavor will spreed all around.

Ask the store and restaurant what their bestsellers are then ask them if there are condiments and dipping sauces that go well with a particular dish. Also try to buy Filipino snacks, drinks, desserts, and candy that you can eat while reviewing other videos about the Philippines. Keep on growing!

You might try eating with a spoon and fork. It makes it easier to eat rice with everything (as you should). Spoon in right hand, fork in left hand. You use the fork to push food (a combo of meat and rice) onto the spoon. MUCH easier to eat.

Tnx for appreciating Pilipino Foods. The Lumpiang Shanghai should be eaten while the Wrapper is still Crunchy and dip in the Sweet Chili Sauce. But it seemed soggy because it's inside a Styro Foam container for quite sometime that makes it soft and without that crunchy sound. Next time open the container immediately so as not to be humidified. BTW, the Halo-Halo should be mixed thoroughly so every scoop contains all the ingredients. But you can taste a bit of the Toppings like the Ice Cream and the Leche Flan. Literally the Tagalog word Halo-Halo means MIX-MIX. But the truth is the word HALO has two meanings, Halo for Mix and Halo for ingredients, thus MIX THE INGREDIENTS. Tnx again.

halo-halo is 1 of the most best dessert in the Philippines❤ specially on summer time. [ halo-halo means mixed-mixed or mixed everything in 1 bowl. so before you eat it, you need to mixe all the ingredients😅not to scoop each ingredients. Halohalo must be mixed first before eating.Mixing all the fruits and beans, ice cream, milk, sugar and shaved ice gives you a very tasty cool and refreshing treat.

The best type of Halo-Halo for me is the one served in fresh young coconut shell with lots of Ube. You should mix all the ingredients. Halo-Halo literally means "mix-mix" in English.

Food you need to try: -Crispy pata -Beef caldereta -Afritada -Sisig -Nilagang baka (beef soup) -Tinolang manok -Chopseuy -Street foods And many too mention. Food you can try to avoid: -bagoong (fermented fish or shrimp paste) -pakbet (it has bagoong) -balut ( the famous one, haha) - dinuguan (pork blood stew)

The pancit canton you just ate appears to be a regular type. There are several variations of it. What my wife cooks is a very special type of pancit canton even those who cook the regular type love it so much; it has several additional ingredients (sahog).

You should also mix or stir halo halo up to the bottom before eating! Flan added to halo halo was great too!

Here in the Philippines, most in every birthday party there is lumpiang shanghai and pansit, we mix it in the paper plate together with spaghetti and rice. Some don't eat rice, because it will easily get you full. There are also curries, called menudo, mechado or afritada. If the curry is made of grounded pork, it is called giniling or menudillo.
