IPL aka Intense Pulse Light is an increasingly popular at-home hair removal method, which is supposed to be cheaper than Laser but more permanent than shaving, waxing or tweezing etc. Sounds good to me, so I finally took a plunge and got the Philips Lumea Prestige 9000 IPL. In this video, I will show you its unboxing, settings, how to use it and share some of my first impressions. Stay tuned on an update on what results I'm seeing 🙂

Hi Tereza, thanks for the review. I'm considering buying one of the Lumea 9000 models and wanted to ask what is your opinion about the precision attachment vs the individual bikini and underarm attachments. Do you think there's an advantage to getting the two separate ones for treating these two areas or would the precision attachment do just as good a job on both of them? Thanks :)

Hi! This is totally up to you, but in my experience the universal basic attachment can do all the job (and covers the biggest surface area). I have barely used any others. Hope this helps :)

HI Tereza. Have you tried Braun 5 series? After watching comparisons between Braun & Philips, Philips is more of a heavier side and takes longer to get results. Any thoughts? Thank you.

I bought this and it is amazing. I've been using it for 4 months and I am almost hairless. The only downside to this is it gives a burning sensation especially on legs and I cannot tolerate the sensation

Hi tereza,I've been using it for 1 week, but why do my laser lights have turned orange,even after fully charged Even though when i put it on charging, the white light doesn't appear, and all 5 levels are orange . What does that mean now.

Nothing is set in stone, you can use it anytime you want but I’d recommend once every 1-2 weeks at least 😊

You use it every 2 weeks for the first 5 treatments and then switch to using it once every 4 weeks.

Hello, Teresa. Thank you for the video. I also got the machine. I have a question. Can I shave between the treatments? I know I need to shave before treatment. I mean for example if I do laser today and then after 2 weeks, can I shave during those 2 weeks? Thank you

Yes of course! Shaving doesn’t impact the root of the hair so you’re totally fine. But for example waxing or plucking is a no no. Hope this helps 😊

And Teresa one more question. Do you know why Philips says once 2 weeks, and then 4 weeks bcs actually it’s said that hair growth time is once 3 weeks.

Not sure, but everyone’s hair growth is different so feel free to do what works best for you 😊 1x every 2-3 weeks is probably best!

Almadan önce bölgeleri jilet ile temizliyorum ve haliyle kıl kökleri kalıyor ardından atış yapıyorum ama kıl kökleri hala gözüküyor ve çok kötü duruyo yani.pürüsüz ama kökler siyah siyah noktalar var sizinkide boyle oldumu onlar niye gecmiyor ya okadar para verdim insllah görüp geri dönüş yaparsınız :)

It’s better to charge it first, you can just charge it overnight and use it the next day 😊

Shaving is for the body only, not for the face, because the facial hair is wild and thin, so if I shave with a razor, it will be thick
