Our main two reasons to visit Japan were its cuisine, including its famous street food, and the beautiful cherry blossoms. We were lucky to stumble onto both at the popular Ueno Park! Our plan of just having a snack did not go as planned. Join us on this not-so-serious culinary journey through some very unique Japanese flavors!

Wow I loved the enthusiasm of trying new foods in a different country. Would you compare the octopus to calamari?

Very very similar! Both in texture and taste. I highly recommend trying it. I doubt most people would really know the difference if it weren't for the suction cups on the tentacles.
