Not really, but you can plan next year around April. Right now its too cold. Plan well in advance so you can save well on flights

Going here on 21st december. The temperature currently is -19 degrees. What do u suggest we should wear? How many layers?

Heyy! That depends on your cold bearing level but one layer of warmers with atleast 2 layers above with a puffer jacket should be enough. Puffer would be useful when it snows. Dont forget a nice cap or a hoodie to protect you

Checkout airbnb and see where the apartments are located in terms of these locations. There are couple of hotels like almaty hotel, ibis, novotel but you’ll have to choose per your budget. Zheltoksab street is pretty centrally located where I was staying

Its all free, its a public park and cathedral and a must visit

Parks cannot charge for entrance. Cathedral is used more like a sightseeing monument most of the time but still it is a cathedral and cannot charge you for entrance as it would be illegal
