Im blessed to had lived in South Central Los Angeles back in the days in the 80's i lived close to Taco 🌮 Pete and original Randy's Donut off of Century blvd. And Taco 🌮 Pete also Lucy's and further down close to 110 freeway their was tams chili cheese fries with pastrami and their was even Pioneer Chicken when going to Original fat burger 🍔 off of Normandy all south central LA Calif.

Back in the 70s there used to be a PASTRAMI BURRITO thingy and it came WRAPPED in YELLOW PAPER. We lived in WATTS so idk where mama got em at, but I've been searching for 49 years for the same burrito and to my dismay, never found it😢.

That's how traditional tacos are. It depends on the freshness of the tortillas for holding up, especially after frying it. My Grandmother learned to cook our Tacos like this from an old Mexican lady.

That burrito is actually called a "Kosher Burrito" and it's not that uncommon out here in LA. That's my go to order at hood burger spots. It's best with pickles and mustard.

Thank you for highlighting the minority owned/operated food spots in South LA. They don’t get enough time to shine and they truly have prevailed despite the repeated social and economic obstacles that exist in these communities. They deserve to be SEEN and HEARD.
