Just a word of advice, weddings are not to be compared. I got married in the south of France 7-years ago and people would say to me “your wedding made ours look awful”, or “urgh, you must look down at our wedding plans compared to what you had” and it honestly upsets me. Each wedding is unique, brings a unique group of people and vibe and whether it’s a town hall and a pub or a lavish 3-day event, it really doesn’t matter when you care about the people getting married and get to be part of their day. So drop the chat about your friends wedding, really, you shouldn’t care less and should concentrate on your own happiness and journey.

I have been married for almost 35 years. Don’t wait for more money, expensive wedding dress or elaborate wedding. Just make sure whom you marry is your best friend and loves you just a little bit more than you love him. It’s about being a great team and supporting each other through the good and bad.

I know that whenever the big day comes around for you, you will look INCREDIBLE and you’ll be a true princess on your special day 😊😊😊😊😊😊 you’re a lovely girl both inside and out!

Em , if you wait until your marry, then you're going to be your mother's age her second time around. You two have been dating for 10 freakin' years. A decade. No ring. Just sayin!! Also, never compare your wedding to Josie & Charlie's. That was a perfect wedding for those two who have completely different personalities and who adore their home and has made it a part of them. If you two do get married, but hey, there's no rush, I mean why not wait until your 40,-- then consider what it is you two have in common and create the wedding around that. Maybe a destination wedding, or a nursing home wedding if you continue to wait! 😜 I know you will take this lightly and that's the beauty of who you are. But seriously tho, just don't wait too long, or if he's not the one, then you two should owe it to each other not to stick around with each other and lead each other on OR if you just want to live together, that's fine too but then don't even go near bridal salons.❤ I know you don't want to feel like you're pressuring Matt, but you two really need to be honest with each other. Better Help!!

So true what the people in the shop said, you think you know what your dress will be like and then when it comes to choosing it it’s the opposite!! I went in with a vision I thought I knew, and the dress I chose and got married in couldn’t have been further from what I thought and even now when I look at it I cry with how perfect it was!

I'd agree entirely in not trying them on. Yous will get married when the right time comes. No need to rush ,as yous both say yous are happy how things are atm. Enjoy living life. I've been married, I've also lived with someone, there's no difference apart from one heck of an expensive day!😂😂😂 when the times right it will happen ❤❤❤

I'm so with you about big proposals - imho they are a bit tacky, especially when they happen on a big screen at a sporting event (does this even happen irl?), a big proposal in front of loads of people means its harder to say no, and makes me feel that the person asking is trying to remove that possibility. A small intimate proposal, with either just the couple themselves, or a few selected close friends and family is much more special and intimate, and a moment to treasure.

Hi Em, I'm new to your channel, and watching your videos and reading your comments has got me thinking. # One, KZfaq comments are rough; # Two, you spend a lot of time being Nice. But as someone in her mid-40s and in no way saying this to be mean or rude. I've learned that I would rather be Kind than Nice. When you are nice, you spend a lot of time trying to please others and apologize for being who you are. When you are kind, you speak the truth and have the courage to be disliked because it's for the greater good of others and yourself. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to watching future videos.

I feel like people put too much pressure on getting married. If youre in a great relationship together and talk about growing old snd your plans, then you dont need a ring. Ive had friends get married before me and they are alteady over. If you and Matt have a good relationship then dont focus on marriage so much. Live for the moment and if it happens in 5 years or 10, then you can just enjoy it when it comes. X

They always recommend not wearing tan when you try on dresses as they are white and it could transfer onto the dress 😢 My bridal salon asked me not to wear tan xxx
