Trying out Hoosier tires for the first time! We’ve been running the Burris 11’s but the track has offered Hoosier D10’s as an option. So let’s see how this goes!!

I race Hoosiers R60 on 1/4 mile asphalt oval ….. awesome tires. Predator 212 Hemi unlimited…… we run 15.9 lap times.

I miss racing karts. My track closed years ago and now I'm 59 years old and too heavy now plus no track near enough to race. I'm jealous. Also you may want to get a tire groovier and take slicks and do them yourself. Worked great at the track where I used to race. Just put a few grooves in. Already grooved tires have I find too many grooves allowing the blocks of rubber to bend over too much and loose traction. Less is better.

My local kart track has run a Bridgestone YDS for years!! But now running a hoosier asphalt tire.

I live about 40 minutes away from a Hoosier Tire factory/warehouse l, but overall Hoosier Tire is the best dirt/pavement tire hands down

I'm racing a outlaw wing class with no tire rules ... If everyone could choose there favorite tire ...tread or non tread what would it be and where can you buy them right now !

Take and wrap the contact area with paper towels and soak with diesel fuel and wrap with stretch wrap and keep soaking every day. This will keep your tires soft without damaging the tire. Tire prep makes tires soft for a short while but harden later. Diesel fuel will not do that.

What area are y'all racing in? Down here on the Gulf Coast, we could only use tires that soft in the rain or racing behind the water truck.

We are in Western NC. One thing I’ve learned is just how hard it is to adjust to dirt track tendencies. Really takes a lot of seat time.

Yeah Ive raced since 92 and I was just wondering about the type of dirt y'all were running on bc down here you have to have anything between an 40-60 on the durometer. Anything softer your just shredding rubber and wasting money. BTW I've wanted to do a no prep hoosier class for years. I can't get anyone else to do it tho lol

Southern Indiana. Get into Kentucky and Tennessee a little. Face book page Miller speed lab alot of bullring low bite racing.

Are you allowed to run right rear wheel spacers to tighten or loosen the kart?

@@mymaclife4288 those outlaw kart guys run them, Tanner Holmes showed his dad taking a spacer off right rear axle on one of his latest videos. I was just thinking that might be another way yall could tune by adding or removing spacers, either that or have a right rear wheels with different back spacing. Now this was years ago but when I ran dirt late models we had wheel spacers and different offsets wheels. This was way before they started setting coilovers with a spring smasher, late 80s early 90s.
