Good to know it's not stiff. I'm going to spray red cushions that faded... to be fair, it's 8 years, so not unreasonable. But not sure if I have to get a dark color to cover the red.

I would say get darker to cover the red. I did these awhile ago and they still look great. They’re still not stiff. But I do remember covering the red was tough even with the navy it took a few coats.

Neither did I! I was worried it would be crunch and not flexible. It feels like a normal outdoor cushion. I did spray the blue cushion because it was so faded and now it's just gorgeous!

I know this post is two years old but I also purchased these when they were first introduced, unfortunately I didn't have the same results you did! No matter how and how many times I tried, the coverage was uneven and mind you, the original color was a light beige, I washed the covers but the stains still came through, did several coats and each coat shows over the previous not to mention how stiff they wound up, now, it's been over two years and the color has held however they're still uneven and stiff, lol lol lol, I can't sow either!!!!! I am going to try the jacquard and continue to search for an outdoor paint that works for me, note: I tried several cushions, methods and cans but they just didn't work for me, the fabric till this day is still stiff!!!! Ha ha ha ha, I've kept them for decorative purposes though, you can't really tell from afar, I'm going to subscribe to your page, thank you for the video!

Hmm I wonder why there’s such a difference? Mine are as flexible as the original fabric. We still put them out and they’re beautiful. I’m sad when a product doesn’t have consistent results. I wish this had been better for you.

They really do even in person. Like I said a little showing through but I should have bought two cans. A nice inexpensive way to give outdoor cushions a facelift.

I didn't. I wonder if I should. It says fade resistant and waterproof. I did the other cushion to bring it back from fading and the whole set is beautiful!

QUESTION: I have a camping tent that I want to paint more opaque. Do you think this opaque? Will it work on nylon tenting??? Thanks much!

I think it will work on the tent but I don’t know if it will make it completely opaque.

I appreciate your talent. I would love to see wood stenciled from dollar store sprayed with fabric paint to a tee shirt. I don’t have unique things for Halloween. I wonder how it would hold up. Black shirt with white and maybe a bit of orange?? Since you did the cushions, I though you would be great for this idea. Keep doing what your doing, you have a new follower😉

It held up great. The patio is full Sun and exposed to the elements. The cushion blew across the yards a few times and I was able to scrub the dirt away with no problem. I’m really impressed by how well it’s held up. The bin I keep the cushions in is buried under 3 feet of snow or I would post a picture.

Hi! I have this green and white striped cushion that goes in a swing chair. Do you know if you can’t paint a cushion a lighter color or if you can go over patterns? How Does the surface feel….I will have this in an egg shaped seat so it need to be comfortable enough to sit up in

Hi There! It feels exactly like outdoor fabric. There was no significant change in the texture. I have not tried it on a stripe. You might see slight variation in the color but it covered the red completely so if there was a difference it would probably be slight. Are you going darker?

@@JunkinwithStacy I’d like to paint it a light pink sorta shade and it’s currently like an apple green and white striped pattern. Would maybe using a color remover and then dyeing it work better?

Not on outdoor fabric. This paint is amazing but really limited in color. There is the Jaquard fabric paints that work well. They come in an array of colors. I just haven’t tried it outside.

Rust-Oleum is one of the best paints out there and it's half the price.

Agreed! I was so happy this wasn't sticky or crunchy. Just feels like a normal outdoor cushion.

No! I was so shocked. Completely flexible. It just feel like outdoor fabric. I’m going to redo some other cushions I have now. I didn’t want to spend hundreds to replace them since they just old not damaged. But for about $30 I can fix up the 5 cushions I have 5 stars from me!

They are holding up really well. We had rain for a week straight and I was worried but they dried right away and they look great. Our cherry tree left blossoms all over them and my husband power sprayed them clean. They still look like when I painted them. I’m happy to recommend this product and no they don’t sponsor me 😂. It’s a great way to improve your cushions without breaking the bank

Soooo, do you think, maybe, this would be good for a fabric “office chair”? It’s a funky pottery barn kids desk chair I bought at a garage sale, but the (cottony) fabric has some bleach stains…

Yes it would or you could use the jacquard fabric paints. I used that to do my office chair which was stained and it worked perfectly. Both stay flexible but the Jacquard paint comes in more colors.
