I used to love this beer, Haywards black stout beer which I don't think is produced now. I wish there should be some dark or stout strong beers available in India in this budget catagory.

Mohan Meakins 10000 is the first beer that I had ever drank. I had just passed intermediate and had gone on a vacation to my uncle's place with a cousin in Dehradun. There my uncle told both us cousins you guys are grown up now and should start drinking. I had asked my uncle to bring a light beer and Mohan Meakins 10000 is what he had brought. That time I had barely managed to finish a glass of beer.

Haywards 5000 is really great. The barley taste is amazing ... there is even a hint of rice. Gives a pleasant high.

Thunderbolt is my regular beer, it tastes very premium, not like a sugary cough syrup like Haywards nor like a total hard drink such as Magnum , somewhere in the middle, easy on the palette with a high dose of alcohol, must try for those who haven't .

The Godfather is a college legend, there are scary stories around The Godfather, legit had bets during college to chug that one. I legit hate Hayward 5000 and Kingfisher Red while Old Monk is a new find, need to try that.

Becks ice is the best in that price segment which is malt beer. Should try Kicks and Bro code both I didn't like. I also didn't know about the Monk would definitely want to try it.

Not trying to doubt their tasting skills, but personally I feel hunter is a very crisp beer. Very surprised how Hunter was reviewed negatively and was disregarded as not even worth a few words of review. It does not have the usual soapiness in desi beers. No overpowering artificial floral or fruity notes. It gives a feeling of having a very clean brew. Very refreshing and simple like a beer should be. The bitter after taste is a given as it is a strong beer. Most strong beers are made strong by adding more sugar to the brew. The byproduct of the yeast eating this sugar is more alcohol and a bitter aftertaste.

You should tell the makers not to degrade since no one has discriminated against another brand here apart from pointing out their bias.

For me the strongest beer is Thunderbolt, and is also my favourite. Whenever I want to drink like crazy, I grab 5 cans and I am settled then.
