He's on it. Really, he should have married Katrina instead of Summer. But he was so busy trying to survive and Summer just kept coming over, so it was the least trouble. In the next R2R, Luna did marry Katrina if I recall, and she was a bit crochety. That was when the famous holla was born. This was all BBW. (Before BigWallet.)

Haha, James, the know-it-all that I am, surely I've told you at some point? I do believe you need to wait until it grows into a "calf," but it is still worth it! 😛😛 And that the Welcome Wagon is not only a food source, but a chance to raise Social, which will increase the quality of your paintings since they reflect Mood. You can even visit with them and paint at the same time.

I agree. I love the old meta of KZfaq far more than the current one. I like to see most of the gameplay from games and it seems now most just sort of show the start and then the end product and skip a lot of the middle part out. Alas, it seems I'm more in the minority. But fortunatley I don't think James is like this so much, I feel we still see nearly all the gameplay, probably why I've stuck around all these years watching 😄

I guess theoretically making digital art in the real world would be faster than having to wait for every layer of oil paint to dry to the level you need to continue. But in my experience, artists are slowed down more by their perfectionism and insecurities than their medium.

8/9 years of experience really helped Duke Silver have an easier life this time around. Though I found it mildly amusing that he snubbed his first timeline wife Summer for Katrina. However I found it a vexing reminder that even the refreshed Katrina doesn't have an established relationship with Don.

I remember the original rags to riches very well, and I love this return to the older style of video. I dont watch anywhere near as many Sims videos as I once did, as I'm not keen on the highly edited, fast paced, 'content', most people do now. as a person who draws portraits in many forms, both realistic to pencil (traditionally) to toon style digitally. I can say without a doubt digital is faster for me anyways, takes me 2-3 hours to do a portrait verse two days in traditional style. Due to my arthris I will also say that its less mess too no needing 100 brushes and messy paints you can paint on the pad with unlimited colors!

They did rework painting. The big money ones like abstract aren't worth as much, and some that used to be bad, like pop art, are worth more. I usually paint small classic to level 4 then just do small pop art until 9. Then realism and surrealism are worth the most if masterpieces, but they're about half as valuable as they used to be.

@jamesturner I was recently playing the high school pack and I noticed that the track and field backside isn't really useable. I thought I could click on the track and have my sims run track/ jog or even run huddles, maybe even play football or soccer with other teen sims, by clicking in the goal post, but NO. James! You have Sim build pull. Ask the sims team to make real sports a thing. (Cheerleading can't be the only highschooler sport that's actually interactive.) Tell them we want more high school sports as a playable option. It would be cool if we could create some kind of competitiveness or school fude's.

ALso when it comes to painting from my own trials, it seems the more you focus on ONE category lets say classics it will increase in sell price as you continue to make it that's why his reference was only $102. Also another tip is always do the $50 as they can surpass the $100 pricing and you can do 2 for the price of one and instead of a profit of 400 you will get a profit of $500!

A bit late to the party, but I loved this video, and I love the idea of you going back and rebuilding your old builds, even rebuilding old Sims 3 stuff in Sims 4! I'm a sentimental person who has Sims 1 through 4 all installed, all just so I can boot up Sims 1-3 and have that up on one monitor while attempting to capture the essence of that lot in Sims 4 (taking a few creative liberties along the way lol) on another monitor, so naturally I do also enjoy watching other people do this as well! I have shared my creations in the gallery under the username Egglington, and while I work through stuff in a methodical way, I do accept requests (which I'd prioritise), as well as feedback (I keep discovering better suited items later on and feel the need to go back and update stuff I've made with them lol!). There's a few of my own builds (using no references) as well as a couple from House Flipper too. I'm also working on the Dawn Winery from Genshin Impact, but that one's a challenge.

If you want the fruitcake, it helps to put down a small side table, or really anything that counts as a "surface" for objects to be placed on. The npcs want somewhere to put the fruitcake down that isn't the floor. You can always sell the side table later and get most of the money back, or get a kitchen counter which will be useful in the future.
