Great video, and i can add from experience--if you want to test paint, paint the underside of the console. if there's a problem, you can literally hide it from sight rather than have to remove the paint and start over. also, clean the trunk's surface and apply bedliner or whatever else before putting the carpet in, so you avoid transfer (if you're a klutz like me).

Good job guys. Its good to see someone doing the 2 tone black/grey cuz it seems like everyone is only doing all black. I have my interior dismantled right now due to having to pull the dash to repair rust up in the a-pillars so I am going to spray the dash before it goes back in and everything else as well as it gets pieced back together. I got the SEM colors from LMR in the factory smoke grey color and I never could get a good concensus of what color the dark part of the dash is. I think the satin black you used looks good at least on video it does. I have the steering column color the had called charcoal black that Im considering trying to see how that looks. I already dyed my passenger door panel, kick and threshold and that SEM goes on like butter. Cleaning and scuffing it good is the key like ya'll did and it doesnt take much either. I was wondering about the carpet too as well because I want the mass back when I get mine I just havent gotten that far along yet. What about a heat gun to the back side as you lay it. I wonder how that would work as I know I'm going to be into the winter months by the time I'm ready to lay in the carpet. Keep it up guys. That car is coming together nice.

when I put carpet in mine I tried to use the old carpet as a template it doesn't work so all those people who told me to use the old carpet to mark the cutouts obviously they have heard that from someone who never tried it and. neither did they it's a pain in the butt.

I just put a carpet in my vert,it was from a hatchback so it didn't fit perfect.Had to cut and poke new holes and it doesnt sit as nice as the old carpet.

A great way to super clean the carpet in cars is to remove it and wash it with an electric pressure washer. Wet the carpet and let soap soak in for about an hour, wetting it once or twice. Then pressure wash it. Hang it up and let it dry. Works like a champ.

It's interesting how much this foxbody interior reminds me of the interior of the EF9(ED6) aka 1988-1991 civic interiors. I'm not saying there the same, just more like alot of this interior has elements of the EF9's interior. There from the same area so that would make sence. I really like these cars man.

When you did your painting of plastic. You didn't use adhesive first? I did my 91 GT and first used grease and wax remover to clean, then 2 coats of bull dog adhesive and I wanted to cover everything good and I sprayed 5 coats of medium grey. I'm sure I did little over kill and I played hell with weather getting colder but came out clean

Man that interior looks great Brew how does that dye hold up scratch wise ? Say if u took a gray panel in dyed it black would it be more easier to scratches? So it would be better to do black on black panels! I have sand beige interior in my notch I am a big fan of black interior my dashboard is black & beige I don't want dye black over beige I mean I have just about everything to make it a almost black interior car I have the door panels the rear sail panels I guess that's what they are called I have the black carpet 2 black Gt seats I think I am going to mix it up black & beige I have to change my dash pad on my dash to mine is jacked up I have a black 1 I am going to put on it!!! Brew u ain't gonna paint the metal pieces on the back of rear seats!! That car came along way in no time at all when u put them seats in that man it's going to sweet man!!!

I do watch your channel sometimes and had a ? The insulation on the driver side toe board is getting wet when it rains. I pulled the cowl cover off and looked inside there also ran water in there and couldn't get any to come into the car. It's still coming in from somewhere and I can't figure it out Could it have a leak at the bottom of the windshield and then trickling down.? I've got the carpet out of this mustang so there is nothing to make it wick in to the insulation. If anyone else reading this has run into this before please let me know.tnx
