If that unit can't keep that little trailer warm now, how will it be in Jan or Feb in Georgia. There are more problems. The heat pump alone if properly sized and installed should heat that space in the Georgia climate. I can't believe the auxiliary heat would come on in November. I wonder if there may be duct issues. Did you check discharge air temp from the vents? Did you check the return air temperature? The customer is going to get a huge electric bill if they need back up heat now.

Does the other side of the sequencer have to bring on blower? Is the breaker and wire big enough for larger strips. If unit was running so hot is the duct too small? Just curious. Thanks for the video😊

I don't know, but it looks like a prudent move might be to allocate 15% of the space in your truck for replacement sequencers. The appear to be one of the most failure-prone things in existence.

Heat strips are always needed even in central Florida. They are activated when the system goes into a defrost cycle to avoid very cold air coming from the registers. Second they are activated when the outside temperature approaches freezing and the heat pump cannot provide enough heat. And third if the heat pump was to fail, the homeowners will still have heat.

These installers need to make sure they have all they need to do a job properly or not do it at all. That rain shield is ridiculous. It would be down right funny if it weren't a serious matter. That breaker laying in the bottom of the box, really? A brand new system, that you know ain't cheap, someone is responsible. Not the right heat kit, someone is responsible for that too. Nice getting them going with what you had to work with. I know many out there don't like Goodman, but installs like that gives them a bad name, as it would any brand. Dang shame, it may just be me, but that unit looks like it is set up too low also.

That looks brand new. How cold is it, that it would need emergency heat? Also, when I first switched to Ecobees I noticed my upstairs put on the emergency heat so much more often than downstairs. Turns out I didn't connect the W1 well and it must have come out when I plugged the tstat in. That said, fixed it but then I changed the programming to not use emergency heat unless it was less than 20 degrees out (which rarely happens in FL) My new gree flex doesn't even have heat strips. They just aren't needed for that unit.

Are your referring to the "HVAC GUY" label on his multi-meter and other tools? I'm curious about that recent change. I suspect it's more to do with Curtis accidentally leaving tools at previous jobs. He still mentions the brand of his tools in the videos. However on other channels, particularly a well known woodworker, he has his business name and logo on some tools, because he is sponsored by a different manufacturer and he is promoting his own business. KZfaq also has a requirement, if you are promoting a product and are sponsored you have to make it known in the video and or video description, so viewers understand you are being compensated for the promotion of that product.
