American professional eater Randy Santel versus Plein 12's Belgian "Godzilla" 5-Patty Burger Challenge TWICE at Restaurant Plein 12 in Dilbeek, Belgium just west of Brussels (Bruxelles)!! My girlfriend ‪@KatinaEatsKilos‬ and I spent 10 days vacationing with my family around Paris and Normandy, France, followed by Amsterdam, Netherlands. Then we headed to Brussels, Belgium to begin attempting food challenges around Belgium. For Belgian food eating challenge #1, we took the train from Brussels (Bruxelles) west to Dilbeek, Belgium so we could head to Restaurant Plein 12 and attempt Plein 12's Belgian "Godzilla" 5-Patty Burger Challenge. Katina went before me and after watching her go first, I felt like even without any training, I might be able to finish TWO of the 5-patty burgers served with a side of fries or onion rings. The base food challenge is to finish one of Plein 12's massive 5-patty "Godzilla" cheeseburgers within 30 minutes. The burger meal costs €50 and comes with a side, but you do not have to finish the side within the 30 minutes. If you can beat the current time record which was 8:42 before I attempted the challenge, you get your "Godzilla" Burger Challenge meal free and a spot on the Wall of Fame. Finish in less than 30 minutes and you just get your photo posted on the Wall of Fame. I tried to break the record in hopes of winning my first challenge meal free, but I just wanted to finish the 2nd burger within the base 30 minute time limit. I ordered one burger with fries and the other with onion rings, and my goal was to finish both bowls of sides too.
