Trying to fix this EA house… but with no added money 🥺

We have to fix this EA build with out any extra funds for dear old Johnny Zest. What do you think of our reno? Do you think he will be a happier man here... or did we set him up for failure by spending his existing life savings. We had no choice! Thank you for watching!

When she had 9500 simoleons left over and was like NOW DECORATIVE instead of giving him better appliances or a tv or a computer (though she did give him a laptop in the end). LOL classic Deli. She's gotta have her AESTHETIC.

My roommate has a TV, and while we do use it occasionally, I mostly just watch shows on my laptop. We don't have cable so we use an HDMI cord to connect netflix, Disney+, etc. I think having no tv is fine, even though it's "weird" in modern homes. I do wish I had that tv tho that looks like art 😅 so cool

Personally I am about to move out of my home and deliberately not have a tv, as it eats so much of my evening. Look how many other skills Jonny has… I’m sure I could have more skills and do more if I stopped watching tv (and mostly just repeats!)

The one thing about this lot that has always bothered me is the wall height. Why so tall?! haha Good reno though, looks far, far better!!

Lol, EA does have a strange love affair with their medium and tall wall heights. Every single one of my renovations begin with changing the wall height to something less ridiculous.

Something fun would be if you could do a challenge where you have a certain budget for each part of the building, like a budget for the walls and floors, one for furniture and one for decoration or something 😄 Much love from Sweden! ❤️

Cactus or desert plants are actually really pretty in terms of landscaping- and I feel like a lot of mid century homes use desert landscaping- maybe search the phoenix desert garden for some desert landscape inspo- it would be a fun challenge to watch!

Well, I wasn't baffled at all, for me personally it was normal. You can live a perfectly happy live without a tv. ;D We got rid of ours 15 years ago and never missed it a single minute. :)And quite a few of our friends have none either, for various reasons, sometimes it just happens without it giving a thought.

I'm sorry, I misunderstood your comment as being related to realism but I guess instead you were referring to a tv being important for gameplay mechanisms. I keep forgetting about gameplay because I only build in the sims. -.-

I usually like how realistic the floor plans are, but here Deli left Johnny with a lounge area only half the size of his old lounge room and lots of open space in the kitchen! That's what baffled me.

13:40 when you pick a glass roof, it automatically makes the ceiling invisible. You didn't have to move it yourself and then give up of the trim C: Especially since there is no ceiling in the kitchen now

I love the bedroom! But in real life you would probably scoot the dining table into the kitchen a little more and have a larger lounge room. I think Johnny Zest deserves some space to entertain people!

You should have used the lot value as your base for how much money you have to work with, so you don’t decrease your budget because you’re selling used furniture. So note the value, delete everything you want to delete, and the difference in lot value is your budget.

Good work on Johnny Zest's house, I what you did with the decore, but the only thing I would have done differently is get him some solar panels and water collectors. Oh, while I am thinking of it, why not add a pond? With a fishing post from debug? It is inspiring watching you fix this up, it was needed for a long time--a very long time! Now I feel like going into the game and doing some building.

Love this reno! One thing I'd change would be to swap the lounge room and the kitchen, so that the lounge room could have the bigger windows and the plumbing would make more sense!

I did something similar to this on Johnny's place. He loves his TV. He's gonna miss it. hahaha I think this is cute. We're dressed like twins today in our Motherlode Hoodies. I swear I wear it all the time. I might need to order another one.
