Here I stream (most of!) my attempt at qualifying for the $2 million Champions Chess Tour.
This proved to be the strongest online event ever held! With over 130 Grandmasters playing (only Grandmasters were allowed to play) it proved to be a challenging tournament...
The time control was 10+2 and it was a 9-round tournament. With the top half qualifying for the next round.

Came here to comment the same thing. As much as Simon likes to attack he really is a great endgame player.

That game where the opponent promoted to a knight. Brilliant battle from both players. Ginger could have easily been 4/5 there. Unlucky at times.

Woww the second game was absolutely nuts. Third game was brilliantly played by Simon trapping both the queen and rook. Epic Content!

You are literally the only thing whatsoever in all my apps and subscriptions where I have push notifications on. And you never let down. This and a beer just what I need to relax after a hard working day haha. Btw did he qualify?

A little bit of your own medicine to put in your pipe and smoke with Bishop a3 at 2:03:45. Based on the percentage of time grinning during videos, you're my favorite GM. Thank you Simon!

watching The Ginger play his best game vs super GMs we get a better idea of his true strength , he is definitely underrated and still a world class player. Not something that is evident when he plays blitz vs weaker players...

Real or someone would have said otherwise. At one point Simon was repeatedly asking 'guys, what should I do here?' that might have had something to do with it

That’s like saying footballers shouldn’t be allowed to watch matches of their opponents, ridiculous. Besides which Most GMs will have their own lines for most openings many moves in advance. They are professionals, it’s what they get paid to do!

This is the most amusing chess on the internet. The way you enjoy your wins is re-energising. Moments like when your opponent under-promotes to a knight 😀well worth watching twice. Or more times (clipped it kzfaq.infoUgkxpM-VuCVjpYroabSyvYyR7ZqIF3FJglL0 )
