That intro gets me every time! lol Love it! Those cake mix cookies look a lot like chocolate crinkle cookies (my fav) I find its easier to do if you chill the dough before you try to form the balls. Also try the actual crinkle cookies- (they are very beginner friendly) to compare the taste

I did those cool whipe crinkle cookies, and it was so sticky! I thought it was going to fail BUT I put the batter in the fridge for an hour made it perfect to roll into balls and the powder sugar. I also did the Christmas crack but the base was saltine crackers, then butter brown sugar melted, then i melted the chocolate and poured it over top. They were both truly divine!

Did them last year with soda crackers and this year with potato chips and milk chocolate. They all slap but pretzels might be the ultimate. Damn, you and Ryland BOTH say 'balls of holly' when it's "BOUGHS' of holly!!!! Cookie mixture makes dough, NOT batter. And to broil something in the oven means that JUST the top heating element is on, not both top and bottom. It's mainly used when you wantt to brown the top of something that didn't get as brown as you wanted it, like mac and cheese or anything with cheese on top.

Just FYI for baking, you're using a 'wet' measure for dry ingredients. Use a 'dry' measuring cup for dry ingredients (like sugar) it would be more accurate to your recipe. Wet things like milk, water, oil etc. get measured in the one you used😊

⁠@@amycane6628(sorry for being a baking nerd here BUT) basically you can't properly level dry ingredients with a glass measuring cup. If you try tapping it against the counter to level them, you end up packing the ingredient. That can be a big deal with something like flour (apparently you can end up with 50% more flour by packing it down versus keeping it loose and gently leveling.) Your stuff will probably still turn out fine most of the time, but if you have a picky recipe or are going for a very specific/ideal texture, the precision makes a difference. Baking is essentially just a chemical reaction, and the ratio of ingredients determines how that reaction happens.
