This was my experience with the Mepro M21 I got in 2015 for my carbine. It is fantastic and super accurate in bright sunlight, but too dim at night. It sits in a drawer.

Yeah it seemed brilliant the first time I tried it in daylight. Very different when I go into a shady area..

@@tsafa That is why I always go back to mounting the scope on the 45-70. One day I'll try using the sights in a lighting condition that doesn't present an acceptable sight picture. So I change back to the scope, then proceed to get scope bite. ;)
