They have a fire chemistry. I am not saying they have to end up together. But i feel like Kdrama can take roots for dark plot or dark romance as many hollywood movies has too. Not every drama has to have a perfect leads. I would like to see people with flawed dark characters & their dynamics.

not sure about him getting that character development or them even being the endgame but the way he smiles towards her,or how gentle he is with her and also comfortable around her (which goes for namsoon to) makes me feel too many things but my man himself isn’t aware that he’s in love already still idc I’ll consider them as an endgame in my head😭

My obsession with this couple is really not healthy. I wish the writers would change up the usual plot for Sio but the chances are super slim. 😭They should've casted differently to ease our pain at least! I mean Ong Seung Wu is great and all but Byeon Woo Seok is just superior (for me! don't come at me, I've been his fan for a while now). Also his chemistry with Nam Soon is on a whole different level. And don't we all love a villain becoming good trope? 😂 But then he plays the villain role so good so I kinda want to watch him more like this...

the fact that it was him who saw her first and was continuously searching for her is what makes me go obsess over him , maybe due to his past trauma he faced he had been in this stage but he seriously have affection for her and when he said that maybe god had sended her for me i got teary , he must have been lonely and unable to trust anyone , i hope they have a good ending , it could actually make up a good ending as she is considerable to him , for me these are my fav they are compatible to each other actually

This drama could've been another most beautiful drama in the kdrama history .They had so much potential to make them enemies to lovers.Both of them are working together to bring down pavel & at the end Si-O shines as a real light.It's more meaningful and show us how pure their love is.

His innocent smile makes you forget that he is a murderer, a drug dealer, and a mafia man... I feel sad for him. Namsun could have changed him for the better... I hated the ending so much.

Don't get me wrong, I love the chemistry Namsoon has with Hee-sik. They're cute, funny, and adorable. Hee-sik tries to protect Namsoon (although she doesn't require it), and they're perfect as detective partners. Hee-sik is the 'ideal' kind of man. The safe one. His love is safe and pure. And then we have our Ryu Shi-oh. He's psychotic and obsessive. At first, he was obsessed by Namsoon's power; by her strength. Because he had to consume drugs and work on himself to be strong, whereas, Namsoon was born with it. He was charmed by her strength (and still is). But as the story goes on, we get the back story of Shi-oh. It goes by the saying "Every villain has a story". He was broken, tired, and exhausted. Namsoon became a breath of fresh air for him. She always treated him "normally", her informal Korean worked really well for this case. Thus, then Obsession started to change into Liking. When Namsoon took his side during the meeting with Geum-Joo, he was looking at her LIKE A LOST PUPPY (oml)! Personally, I love Shi-oh, but I'd choose Hee-sik. I want a safe kind of love. Lastly, OH MY GOD! Lee Yoo-Mi and Byeon Woo-seok's CHEMISTRY is FIRE!!! I love seeing them together. They put my screen on fire! I know their character will not end up together in this Drama, but I truly wish and hope they do another one, where we get to see their 'lovey-dovey' moments!! Hehe.

judging from ryu sio’s pov it's def a ‘daylight’ love. like how he could never look away, he could stare at her for hours, days, forever. he is so inlove w her. his love for her is defo cruel, real, dangerous. sio can be himself around her, she’s the first ever person who made him feel like that and i mean can u blame him for that? after all he has been thru. “i’ve been sleeping so long in a twenty-year dark night and now i see daylight” is so HIM coded. ryu sio is all smiley and pretty around her, seriously love that for him, he deserves a happy ending the writer better not do him dirty my man deserves better.

I would like if kdrama goes from that perfect lead to dark character dynamics and development leads. Damn, i am always the one to hate villians but looking at ryu si-o character (again im not here for just looks and I aint blind for red flags lol). His character HAD the capability to have a development. Scene about the light "you're a light that's not sure if its real or fake but it can be real if you try hard enough". In this scene, we could see that ryu si-o wanted to be a real light. He even said it would be better to live alone in woods rather than with Pavel. All the bad work he did was only to escape Pavel and show them he isn't weak. He was abandoned as well. It was a plot like "i didnt want to be a bad guy but the world made me the villian" he didn't even invent drugs, he was just obsessed with the antidote. Man had the evil in him that was born and could've died if Si-O tried but instead he decided to Kill himself. I was really sad man

Omg... their chemistry is on fire! Whether they end up together or not I hope these two act in another drama together as the main couple. I hope Si-o gets a redemption arc and not just end up being a villain all along but we'll see in the upcoming episodes.

I refuse to believe that he doesn't have feelings for her. Sure, the way the story is written, he's probably just using her for strength. But, eyes do not lie. The way he looks at her, the way he smiles at her. I personally think that this couple has more chemistry in the drama. Their story is far more interesting than the ml and fl's.

There is a saying hurt people hurt people, those who hurts inside hurts others , his problematic childhood made him the villain & that childhood of his haunts him every moment & made a void which never fills. Gang name soon genuine innocent smile makes him feel his child self that's why he behaves different towards her.

"Strong" should not only refer to physical strength. It's also a state of mind. The moment the mother sees the picture of the orphans, the moment Nam Soon is told by Shi-O that he has been abandoned and brought into the Mafia gang. They should have tried to help him. This drama really has so much potential and the development of Shi-o's character could really help the drama come alive if they chose a different ending. I don't think I will be watching season 2 if it comes. It was disappointing.

He also had no childhood so being around her prob feels refreshing to him ...I know they won't end up together, but I also dont believe the writers gave him a character development.. He is prob gonna die to pay for all the bad deeds he did thus he will be led to the atonement of his character
