Tshona -The Black Lake Between Merak & Sakteng at Nyakchungla pass || 4100m above sea level
Tshona which literally means black lake is located around 20 minutes walk from Nyakchungla pass between merak and Sakteng in eastern Bhutan.
The lake is hardly visited by both locals and international tourists owning high altitude or no knowledge of its existence.
The massive serene lake looks strikingly beautiful, especially during winter as its surrounding becomes white with thick snow.
