Well, where else could he hide in such a short amount of time too? The table option being thrown out there so randomly like that was to throw people off too because if Tsukasa actually hid under the table, he'd be caught, which is why Tsukasa asked Rui what was okay about hiding under there...implying Rui was joking about Tsukasa hiding there.

Highly doubtful. They're professionally experienced voice actors, so I can promise you this is not their first role where they had to breathe into the mic. Rui said that jokingly, which is why Tsukasa asked Rui what was okay about hiding under the table; Tsukasa would have gotten caught under the table because the teacher would have seen him. He had nowhere else to hide, which is why it is implied Rui pulled him down into his futon and hid him that way. Just as you asked, how else would Tsukasa had heard Rui so closely? It's not Rui's side story, it's Tsukasa's, so Rui wouldn't be the main focus like that unless it was relevant (in which it was this time in this side story).

There is also the fact that before Tsukasa hides, the sound of a futon is heard.

Given the fact Rui's the focus and his untrained (along with Tsukasa's) both have each other in it, I was assuming that much was obvious. Not to mention the literal summary and story is only focused on the both of them.

@@HopefulBagelsi love ruikasa dearly, and i love to imagine that rui did pull tsukasa with him, but whenever two characters are close to eachother, the devs arent afraid to actually move their sprites closer together 😭 tsukasa probably wouldnt have been as calm he was if rui pulled him under, and the fact that they didnt mention it at all only alludes to tsukasa hiding under the table instead of with rui. so unfortunately, they probably werent in the same futon

In no way do I wish to change the way you feel but I do want to point out a few things to debunk the theory you have. I am aware that if two characters get pulled close together, they will pull their sprites in, but that isn't the case here. Rui mentioned the table as a way to tease Tsukasa, knowing he *couldn't* hide there because he'd be caught, which is why Tsukasa responded negatively to it. At the last moment, you see Tsukasa's sprite looking both ways before both his and Rui's disappeared, and all you hear is the sound of fabric ruffling, implying Rui pulled him down at the last second as they all hid before the teacher came in. The teacher comes in and you see Rui's sprite, but Tsukasa's never appeared, though you can hear him just as clearly as you could Rui, implying they were still next to each other, just one was covered up by the covers of the futon (Tsukasa). The table is probably the stupidest place to hide under when someone is looking for you because you can get spotted within an instant; it's obvious Rui stated that to mess with Tsukasa. Of course, I have no proof to back up my claim aside from implications, nor am I saying your viewpoint is wrong, there's just many things that don't add up to it either. You are free to disagree though.

@@beabadooboob also, with how chaotic those two are (and how close they are), there'd be no reason for Tsukasa to make much of a reaction to being pulled in, especially knowing they were both supposed to stay quiet and hidden.

The devs have the audacity to mischaracterize one of my favorite characters and remove an extremely important event of his, so I hate knowing that other events of his has made it to the server when they haven't even given any closure to his past experiences and his growth with WxS.

That 3* card you're talking about is Tsukasa's 3* card from the Revival My Dream event, which I'm sure the developers made on purpose, knowing exactly which audience it would attract. That WxS 'anime opening' you're talking about was one the shortened anime version of the WxS main story that was announced with JP Project Sekai's 3rd anniversary. Every unit got one. Though, that specific part you're talking about was Tsukasa inviting Rui to join the troupe once again, and yes, it most definitely looked like a proposal if anything.
