It could have been much worse, but I fear GOD is not finished with us humans. I hear HIM say, REPENT! Thank you for taking the time to document this phenomenon. What a beautiful and amazing thing our world is. If anyone is familiar with the Holy Bible, it tells that in the last days perilous time will come. What we saw in past tsunami events were just a precursor. The Bible tells that islands will be removed from their place. I just say, YIKES! Imagine what that means? Much love and peace, Jesus saves. Get on the ark of salvation. God BLESS!!

We all know it’s not “the smartest” thing to gawk at the shoreline after a tsunami alert.. but boy if this footage isn’t marvelous. Thanks for the view and I’m glad it wasn’t deadly on your end.

Not a storm surge, a volcanic-origin tsunami. Thanks for posting, interesting to see. Tsunami damage from the Hunga Tonga volcanic explosion was caused as far apart as Peru and Japan.

I live in Hawaii on the water. It's terrifying when we have a Tsunami alert. We're only 4-5 feet above sea level (depending on the tide). Thank goodness we dodged another one. Thanks for sharing your California footage. Scary and wild stuff. My heart aches for those in 🇹🇴 Tonga.

I really appreciate how you followed the waves at times. Especially the larger ones that traveled from way out into the distance and were able to crash near the shore. It was a pleasure seeing through your lens.

@@kathleendanford2631 If you're talking about the tsunami from Japan's earthquake, there are videos from a bunch of CA locations still posted on KZfaq. As you can see, water plowing up on a flat beach vs. bluffs vs. channeling around man made structures dramatically change the effects. Thanks to people sharing tsunami videos we can learn what size surge would be safe to go watch or stay away.

I’ve lived in California a very long time, and every time to go to the coast and I see the cliffs it always seems to me that waves have hit those cliffs a lot over a long period of time, makes me wonder how big of waves have hit those cliffs. Scary because any day a giant wave can come in. I read a few months back that a 75 foot waves was coming towards San Francisco. Imagine being on the beach on that day, scary shit!

A small size Tsunami is like a Hide/Low Tide happening in the span of 1-2 hours instead of over a lengthen of 6-8 hours meaning about 6 times more distractive than a normal tidal period.

Hmmm. The waves don't seem to be much of anything . I just came from the harbor. Like 3 ft. maybe the swell is isn't hitting this direction
