Located at the northernmost tip of Kyushu, Tsushima is the closest Japan to South Korea. Belonging to Nagasaki Prefecture, Tsushima has a history unique to a border island and a great natural beauty with mountain forests covering about 90% of the island. It is also the stage of the Genko Incursion, which was depicted in the masterpiece game “Ghost of Tsushima. In this article, as the first part of Tsushima, we will report on a solo trip to the southern part of the island.
