Sadly, it never was. This is 2022, and we miss him. Hutchy has been out for several shocking years after an awful series of leg injuries. But back again. John McG no longer gets podiums because the new wave of riders is so fast.

@steadiworkz haha okay no problem. yep Guy is.... well, a great guy. :P any sort of interview with him is always entertaining and interesting. i'm only just getting a chance to watch the TT coverage now, just watching the preview show and found out about the Privateers Championship - that sounds like a good idea to me.

Does anyone knows if there's been in the past some TT riders that had a try at a WSBK or Motogp bike ? I would like to see how these TT guys compare to these riders.

TT was part of the GP calendar until 1976. I know John McGuinness is the latter TT rider who raced 500cc. (probably 1998-2000) His best championship result was a 12th place. Carl Fogarty was a genius: He dominated WSBK and TT too at the same age, and he raced 500cc too with a best race result of a 4th (!!!) place. Joey Dunlop and David Jefferies raced 500cc and probably WSBK as well. But if you are curious only about a MotoGP bike then Cameron Donald completed a pretty quick lap around the Mountain Course with a 800cc MotoGP Suzuki some years ago, and Bruce Anstey raced this year's Superbike TT and Senior TT with a modified RCV Honda.

@@slimlc5776 maybe in WSBK but Motogp is a different style of racing. Look how those guy's lean against there bike. Especially the top riders. Moto gp is a different bike. More torque, higher acceleration, and top speed then a superbike. But we only would know if had ride that bike. I thins for sure you can't hate Guy

For what it's worth, Dunlop was probably disappointed more than anything. Haven't seen him being a douche in any other interview. He is a bit of a hardass though, completely opposite of his brother. Guy was just messing about after the time penalty in the previous race. Hutchie is probably, together with Conor and the old gang (Anstey et al) the most professional.
