Incredible comeback by Bernadette! Incredible! I feel sorry for Yang but she crumbled in the end and Bernadette held it together and applied tremendous pressure in the last set!!! Amazing! Congrats Bernadette!!!

well the ball clips the edge of the table for the win in the set 6 and goes without an apology from Szocz? immediately followed by wild screaming as a celebration for almost each point won. no wonder Yang crumbled in the last set

Bernadette's style of play reminds me of how I liked to play. 40 years ago. Not pretending I was that good, especially on the backhand, but it brought back great memories. And come from behind wins are so sweet. Great match by both players.

Xiaoxin is a great solid sportsman. Meanwhile, the key from this door has not been found. It was a tactical "dead end" and trainer couldn't figure that out either. Think hard, think more think again. Congrats Bernadette.

Amazing match. But no matter what level you play at in any sport you should always shake your opponents hand promptly after the match. Not falling over screaming and jumping on the table.

I think there was on ball at the end of set -6 where Xiaoxin Yang lost completly her concentration and at the end the game! Set #7 was a mindgame.

When I was a total noob at table tennis, I did topspin shots but vertically swinging my racket upwards. Finally I swung super hard one time and basically hammered the side of my head with the edge of the racket. That fucking hurt. That was the last time I tried to do topspin like that 🤣 Awesome job Bernadette! What a comeback 😄

Those screams were utterly stupid and ridiculous. Hate that in racket sports. It seems table tennis has been able to overtake badminton as the most annoying sport in that sense. Not exactly a great thing imho.

Bernie felt absent in the first 2 sets. Played like she had nothing to lose in the 3rd, then did well to keep composure and adapt technique to her opponent. By the end she was completely adapted and opponent did not seem to have any solutions. Lastly, she cried, laughed and then cried some more. What a game! Congrats both!

The game 2 at 6-6 was crucial. If yang managed to her forcd error and won that would seal her victory and no one survives at 3-0.
