Etios was just an opponent for Swift Dezire. But above that there were Yaris & Corolla. Unfortunately all these 3 world’s best seller cars (including Nissan Sunny) performed very poorly in Indian Car Market. Even not identified companies performing & selling too many cars in India. The reason for Kizashi's flop was, when they launched it in India Kizashi was costing around 20 to 23 lakhs and at that time C class was costing only 27 to 30 lakhs. So naturally Indians went for C class. Kizashi is really a fantastic car. I have a Porsche, an E class and a Kizashi.
