TU Cricket Stadium was established in 1998 and has a capacity of 15000 Audience. It is only one stadium where the international matches are played. This stadium has a long history where our first ODI match was played. In 1996 this cricket ground was initiated by the Nepal government with the help of TU University. Nepal did not have any cricket grounds to play the cricket match in that period. So, with the help from the Nepal government and TU University, they got the ground for a lease. India's most renowned TV channel ZEE TV is ready to make this ground and the work remains continuous today day the infrastructure remains the same as they complete their work and hand it over to the Cricket Association of Nepal. TU cricket stadium has lots of history and this is the oldest cricket stadium in Nepal. Most of the International Matches are played on this ground. TU Cricket stadium is not much facilitated by the infrastructure but in recent years there is some hope in the infrastructure recently Nepal government and the Cricket Association of Nepal is ready to make the Digital Scoreboard. This is a piece of good news for every cricket supporter. Where we can see the maintenance work off the pitch on the ground. Nepal Cricket is growing day by day from the Division level to ODI Status.
