Synopsis:
DARR (Fear) is the villain in every love story. But in Yash Chopra's Darr, fear is the ultimate expression of passion, obsession and sacrifice.
Darr is Rahul's (Shah Rukh Khan) story whose love and obsession for Kiran (Juhi Chawla) frees him from all fears of life and death.
Darr is Sunil's (Sunny Deol) story, whose enduring love and passion for Kiran gives him the courage to face the fear of death.
And finally Darr is Kiran's story caught between one man's love and another man's obsession. She fears one and fears for the other. One stands for love and the other for life.
DARR won the National Award for Best Film in 1993 and is remembered for Shah Rukh Khan's mesmerizing performance. International renowned classical music maestros Shiv-Hari composed the haunting melodies of the film.

SRK was intensely horrifying in Darr. A brilliant performance ❤️ The stutter mirrored the psychological aspects of his character. SRK nailed that role. He was scary, psychotic, shrewd, obsessive. People mimicking K-K-K Kiran strip the expression from everything it stands for. Darr is a classic.

Juhi is so underrated. She was almost perfect at everything- romantic/comedy/serious roles. and i cant think of many who could do comedy so well.

Yep I love her! She can do any kind of role...but she wasn't underrated, she was huge star of her time...people don't remember her now because she wasn't one for controversies and maintained a more or less dignified life. Plus she retired from acting and the limelight- unlike her contemporaries, she rarely acts in 1 film a year in a small role and she doesn't judge shows

Apart from it being an amazing song, its actually *really* well choreographed too (Notice how Juhi moves at every drum beat). Not to mention the symbolism: Shahrukh's attire never changes throughout but Juhi's does. As in this takes place in his imagination and all he sees in it is her and he has relagated himself to just admiring her beauty

Juhi was good, but I disagree that Juhi was the show stopper, if this film was known for anything then it was the negative role played by SRK. SRK outshined all other performance in this film.

i loved how this movie accurately portrayed PTSD of a child who lost a parent as a child and no way to vent it out as mental health was hush hush topic and the dangers of stalking. Other than this there was Sharad Kapoor in Dastak stalking Sushmita Sen.
