I've been playing didgeridoo for 16 years and I gotta say, this guy would crush one. So many of the techniques he's doing there can be applied to some advanced didgeridoo sounds. Would love to see him on one!

I was fortunate to have to opportunity to perform with Nat McIntosh a few years ago. This doesn't begin to capture his sheer awesomeness.

Multiphonics means to play or sing two or more pitches at the same time. The performer plays a note while singing or humming another pitch above or below the played pitch, resulting in a chord. In some combinations of harmonies, and if the two notes are perfectly in tune, the performer can produce chords with the partials within the sound. SO COOL!
@uwwcontra200716 жыл бұрын
I should hope that he did a good job playing it, he wrote it for Unlearn (2000), which is Youngblood Brass Band's 2nd album. Nat has moved on to the Dallas Brass now, but I believe he sat in with the University of Wisconsin Varsity Band this spring and played Brooklyn (from YBBB's 3rd album Center:Level:Roar). Met the guy, and he's really, really good. Wicked good.

Back when I was in Eighth Grade (I'm now in 11th) I learned to circular breathe on the tuba without even knowing it. I just... picked it up. A year later, a trumpet said "Dude! You're circular breathing!" Now, over the course of these few years, I have been perfecting it so now I get a pretty good sound. But, there are downsides: 1: When I breathe, it can sometimes be very loud. I've been trying to fix this. 2: Unfortunately, I have become dependent on the circular breathing.
