I'm always amazed at how they can keep the intricacies of the arrangements of each song in their heads, and it always comes off perfect. I haven't seen anything like that since the live performances of New Grass Revival back in the 1970's.

Thanks, bluedrinks1. But what's the tune? It's 'Jazz Battle', composed in 1929 by Jabbo Smith. Tuba Skinny also recorded it on their album 'Nigel's Dream' which was released in 2018.

I'm not an expert but I was recently turned on to this music, is it really jazz? A type of jazz? If so what's it called? It sounds like an old type of music, even the way that girl sings it.

Its jazz. Probably closer to what some bands sounded like in the 1920s.
