You knew, before clicking, that this pairing of two terrific bands was going to be something special. The piece they play, At the Jazz Band Ball, could not be better for giving everyone an opportunity to shine. Then you notice that musicians who usually perform without expression are grinning like little kids. I only wish we could rate it higher than one thumb up!

Everyone doing their own thing, but all doing it together, and in harmony. The angels themselves must be weeping with joy to hear it.

If you will pardon my French, that was one kick ass performance. Such fun watching the two bands show such mutual respect! WOW!!!!!!!

The Lady Shaye coordinates things so well, she really a gift to anyone who appreciates music in it's purest form.

Time to give a shout out to Todd Burdick on tuba and robin Rapuzzi on washboard,excellent job guys.

I'm always amazed by the appearances of Tuba Skinny players in their bayou humidity limp clothes - unlike their wonderful music it's like they could give a shit about what they look like - unless that's part of the plan. They are just so casual and so gifted...it's like watching surgeons peeling potatoes.

When sensibilities, joy, improvisation and love of the art of joyous music meet with a jazz of high altitude, it is how we can intensely enjoy these excellent instrumentalists

This collaboration of members of two very good Traditional Jazz Bands makes me happy! When I see the faces of all musicians, I think they all have the same feeling.

Today, my wife and I completed a bucket list goal - we visited the 50th state of all the states, so we have been together to all 50 states, Thank You South Dakota, and I chanced on this while relaxing from the road trip and I believe this is the most American music that I could possibly hear and enjoy!

this is just sheer talent with people enjoying every minute of their music which is much needed at this very difficult time for everybody. please don't stop

This is a terrific example of what is the best aspect of human existence, individuals and groups cooperating and collaborating in order to bring out the best in themselves and each other, and in their mutual support producing an art and an emotion greater than they could produce on their own. If our political leaders could follow this example, humbly cooperate and compromise in order to produce a harmonious result, our world would be well on its way to peace.

Some of the very best I have heard the last 60 years, nej, hvor det godt!!! I have been listening to jazz since I was about 13,(75 now) espacialley Louis Armstrongs Hot Five and Seven and Potato Head Blues is my favorite tune, but many comes close up to.

The improv skills needed for this are INSANE! Wow!!!

The Skinny brings out the best in everyone. Even the camera work was exceptional.

THIS WAS ONE OF THE GREAT COLLABERATIONS OF ALL TIME OLD DIXIELAND JAZZ. BOTH BANDS ARE SUPERB , BUT WHEN THEY PLAY TOGETHER THE SOUND IS BEYOND SUPERB , IF THERE IS SUCH A THING . EVERY MUSICIAN HAD A SMILE ON THEIR FACE FROM BEGINNING TO END . JUST WONDERFUL

I can not imagine what it must have been like to sit in that audience with that much joyousness coming directly at you! Brilliant playing! Unmatched joie de vivre. If it went on forever I’d be happy for eternity.

After watching half-a-dozen times or more, I began to notice the eye contact between each player and his/her counterpart in the other band. I saw no rivalry, only mutual admiration. For this performance, at least, they were one band, not two, totally on the same page. It doesn't get any better.

This is a great moment in the history of good time jazz.... great job uniting those two bands! Loved the camera work too... the moving back as the song ends clasique!!

What a wonderful sound and so much joy and fun. The band's melded their talents very well creating something that was better than either. The split solos were wonderful things. I especially enjoyed the “duel” between Robin, on washboard, and Lewis, on drum kit. I love you all. This is just amazing. Ooh! Robin is always so much fun to watch and he puts on a great show but this time I've never seen him so happy or dancing around like that.

They make it look so easy!
