You’ll have to contact Ryan at ModHouse and ask him to loan you a pair of Tungsten headphones. If you can drive that one, you can drive anything.

Our Hifiman HE1000 v2's at 35ohm/90db aren't the easiest cans to power up and the Kit Headphone amp easily handles them and they sound amazing. I just wish they didn't weigh so darn much! My favs are our Sennheiser HD660S 150ohm/104db, they are nice and light and sonically paired with our Kit Amp sound simply stunning.

@@tubelab194Modhouse tungsten Double sided is 78db/mW and 155ohms.

Tungsten = Impedance: 135 ohm average, Sensitivity: 76db/mW That’s why they are the reference in terms of “difficult to drive”. HE6se and Susvara aren’t too far behind. Everything else can be driven by many commercial amps.

As an amateur speaker designer, I've watched products enter the market that I would never in a million years have ever released as a finished design. In particular very low sensitivity in drivers, both in main system speakers and headphones. In my experience the more efficient drivers almost always sound superior.

@@tubelab194It’s a bit different with planar diaphragm, I guess, as both Tungsten and Susvara are currently top rated. I don’t really care, I don’t have them, as I would never spend that kind of money on headphones.
