The looks in this video 😂 The side-eye Haruka gave Nguyen when she dipped her sushi in the shoyu rice-down was fantastic. Also Nguyen's face when Haruka slurped her noodles. Well-written script- good work, IUJ!

the "o" makes it polite. or so I'm told
@takeuchi_akihiro_5600
@takeuchi_akihiro_5600 2 жыл бұрын
@@tylergreathouse7002 さん、This "o" is spelled を、which is a particle to mark the object i.e. kore(this), of the transitive verb(verbs that need direct object) i.e. kudasai (please give me). This particle could be omitted as PinkFurryHat demonstrated. Now the polite "o" you mentioned you have learned is spelled as お which is prefixed to some nouns e.g. o-kane(おかねmoney), adjectives e.g.o-kirei(おきれいbeautiful) or verbs, e.g. o-hairi kudasai(おはいりください Please enter.) Hope it helps.

Altought limited to when eating noodles, slurping and the noise related thereto are not considered band tables manners in japan. In fact, slurping is welcomed as it amplifies the flavours through your nose. So enjoy

@TubeIUJ
@TubeIUJ 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the inquiry. Regarding "Kudasai" at the time point you mentioned, the pronunciation/phonetic value and the spelling match. "Kudasare", which you claim you have perceived, would sound quite different from what's pronounced then. Asking your Japanese sensei or native speaker friend to read both "kudasai" and "kudasare" would solve the problem. Best regards,
