Mind blowing performance from legendry Hemaji & her daughters. Their correct foot movements, facial expression and gait matchining the accompanying song highlight their talents, inherent ability and hard work. May be she is wilting under age but her energy level is far more than those of her age. Like Vaijayanti Amma, late Padmini & Kamala (Lakshman) Hema mam is a richly talented person.

Ms. Malini has found the fountain of youth. Few days ago I saw a bright star of 80's with her daughter, the lady was washed out. Here Ms. Malini is performing in NY with her 2 grown up daughters. A sweet treat indeed.

Such beauty of dancing!!...well done Ladies!!! - Keep classical Indian culture going in this world filled with so much rubbish today... (***PS: A message to whoever designed the stage set, the stage background colours and lights - what a terrible job!! - the overdressed jazzy stage colours and lights clash horribly with the beauty and grace of the dance and the dancers - a more muted and subtle background is really need so that we can focus on the actual dance and not be distracted by flashing lights and colour displays)

Hema Malini is Hema Malini,.... most popular dancer of Indian Classical music with perfect figure, structure and charm.... No parallel to her except Vijayantimala ....both are great in dance with their own charm and great Actresses too. This dance program is fantastic n Hema's daughters Deols Esha n Aanaa...are too beautiful & are-as is the mother so are the daughter in beauty n dance.

Pradesh is similar to Bharata Natyam, but doesn't have as low of an aramandi (sitting) position, has the item performed on a plate with a pot balanced. Odissi is from Orissa, it is known for it's Tribhangi...the three parts movement (the head, pelvis and chest move separately). Kathak is a fusion of Indian classical dances and Mughalai dances (not precisely from Maharastra). Classical dances are often "fun" and are not always religion oriented, but they tend to be based off of religion...

The dance is good. But music does not sound like south indian that goes with bharatanatyam. Very light, sounds more like filmy music.
