This is the most useful video I've found demonstrating this technique. The fact that it's a jogless cast on is what sealed the deal for me. Any time I need a tutorial, I look at several videos, and time and time again, it's Suzanne Bryan for the win.

Reading the comments I seem to be the only one that is confused. I tried this three times and couldn't get it. When you get to the end of the row and change the active needle I can't tell what you're doing-which end of which needle you are using. It would help if you slowed down and clearly showed that transition and which needle is which. It would also help if the two needles were a different color. I really would like to learn how to do this. Other than that it is all straightforward.

This is by far the best explanation of a beautiful tubular cast on I've come upon so far and that should mean a lot coming from a knitter with close to 50 years of experience ;-) Thank you ever so much, with this video you've upgraded my knitted hats to quite another standard <3 Also, warm greetings from Finland!

I have just watched your tutorial again and I was wondering if this was invented by some clever person or is this just the way it was done by Great Great Grandma and somebody copied it or is this just it's done.

If you have an even no of stitches then youre slipping the last stitch of round 1 and the 1st stitch of round 2 , two stitches next to each other. Is that right?

I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate you for doing this video. I have used the video for all my tubular cast on garments and I just love how good your instructions are.
