You're right about new owners wanting a new manager. As a Liverpool fan I always thought the only reason we appointed Roy Hodgson all those years ago was because the owners were looking to sell and they needed a disposable manager. For what it's worth, I always thought Chelsea would probably have a rough start to the season, but in the long run they have the third best squad and you could argue in Tuchel maybe the third best manager so you have to think they'll come good.

Not sure how people are shocked at this - the football we play has been so painful to watch. We go into each game expecting to drop points - there was no light at the end of the tunnel. For whatever reason the players have stopped playing for him and unfortunately the manager will always pay the price. Who knows what else has been happening behind the scenes. Perhaps in hindsight the new owners should have started with a new manager but Tuchel had conducted himself brilliantly during the sanction period that you couldn’t exactly get rid of him.

That is sad.. Feels like there are so many memories with him, even though i do not support Chelsea normally. I wanted them so succeed.

Hot take but they should have done this before the start of the season. Communication between coach and board, in this case new owner, is everything in futbol. Once that is broken it is best for all parties to break away. For example, Barcelona bought many big name players who didn’t fit the system that Ernesto Valverde had is place

I have a totally different view on this. Right from the start of the season it was clear that Stamford Bridge isn't a happy place, and Tuchel was part of that. Also at PSG there were rumours saying that his man management wasn't the best and that he wears players out. On top of that he got things wrong on several occasions like at Leeds and Southampton. This was probably only going to continue. You can point the fingers at the players but if they aren't in a positive place they cannot deliver 100 per cent. Already at the end of last season you sensed these things, and they clearly haven't gone away. In the end, no matter if there are several reasons for a crisis, ultimately it's the manager who pays the price, but again I do think that Tuchel was part of this.

Seems like the owner wanted a more attacking Chelsea team with the players he has been targeting, an owner like that wants to play FM and won't be happy with a defensive minded coach, I think Potter or Poch
