I bought this watch 9 days ago and I don't care about different tastes and opinions I'm delighted with it ,with the versatility,quality and precision and it doesn't have any of the problems that you mention in your video and also ,my wrist is not small and it looks perfect.

I believe anyone who can and is willing to afford/buy a Tudor GMT, he can also afford a Rolex GMT. Just boils down to preference. A lot of folks don't like the overwhelming reputation of Rolex and the perceived type of people who buy them. Hence why a lot of people buy other brands besides Rolex (Tudor as in here, Breitling, Omega, Heuer, etc.). It's not a money issue, it's a preference.

Excellent review. You really know how to introduce a watch and focus only on the interesting aspects. I really like your Macro shots and what you reveal is quite astounding and relevant. Good video, I think people who think this watch is too big or thick need to accept that this watch is made for a certain sized wrist, its not a unisex watch. The sizing is spot on as the BB58 is a little small and more a unisex watch.

Another great video I own this watch because I could not see paying double retail for the Rolex. I have not put mine under micro or loop maybe I should but I have to say I love it. It is so accurate running -1 second a week!!

It's such a sad commentary on the current state of the luxury watch market if "available and at retail price" is an actual positive of a watch

Nice watch. Another great review. I bought a blue Pelagos with the in house movement, 2 years ago. I didn’t see this watch at the time, might have bought it, though I love the Pelagos. These scratches and dust is not acceptable. That watch should go back to the dealer. I also have the Grand Seiko Snowflake. You just don’t see these imperfections on Grand Seiko. Even under a loop, there are no imperfections.

I had a recent opportunity to purchase this and the blue dial Pelagos. As a person with larger wrist size I opted for the Pelagos and am very happy as I also have the Rolex GMT so didn't see the requirement for another one. Probably better value for money than the Rolex....Great macro shots exposing the deficiency/lack of perfection in Tudor workmanship. A suave and sophisticated style to your reviews...keep it up!!

Love mine. I like the size, the thickness gives wrist presence which is important if you are a taller or bigger guy. It’s a beautiful tool, with lots of charm, that looks fine in the office, but with 200m wr can handle any casual situation.

Personally I think the case is too big and too thick, especially for a traveler's watch. Just sold my regular Black Bay 41, since it just wasn't comfortable enough for every day wear. One can dream about a GMT in the BB58 case, without the fake rivets...

Can't wait to see you put the Tudor under the macro so people can understand what they are getting for their money

Got this watch 2 months ago. I love it. My wrist is medium size, but this watch doesn't feel too overwhelming. I hope I don''t have to face the date wheel issue 🙏 Regardless, this was a symbolic purchase for me so i hope to keep this watch and eventually pass it down to my son.

I have this watch. Or should I say I HAD this watch. It has been sent back to Rolex for a repair to the date wheel. There is a common fault with the date wheel of this model. Mine skipped forward 2 days at midnight. Some get stuck between days. Its been 3 months and counting....

This watch probably was serviced (maybe because of the date issue) before. Mine has zero dust and scratches

I have this watch and I absolutely love it . I also have Rolex Datejust 41 . I know they are very different watches , but the quality difference , I feel does not merit the large price differences . The Rolex watches are imo better watches , but certainly not enough for the disparity in cost

It’s quite baffling how absolutely no manufacture (not even patek and certainly not rolex) is able to get the transitional line of the colored gmt hand right, always smudged, uneven and rough. They can perfectly polish and chamfer a tiny screw but not make the edge of the color smooth.

You should also talk about the datewheel skipping issue that is affecting many of them. Yet, Tudor is not being transparent with the issue.

Nice bulky watch. Love the color combination of the aluminum bezel - something magical about it. My only complaint is the case back which scratches easily against the bracelet and clasp. Looks terrible after a while.

I have a couple of Tudors but I think this is their best model followed by the 58 and then the Pelagos

I have this watch for a lil over of a year now. Love it. Unfortunately last week it started having the date wheel issue. Just sent it to Tudor to have fixed.. now I sit and wait.

Great review, thanks so much, Hafiz. Did not know lack of lume on bezel pip. The uninspired finish of the movement is a drawback for me, also. Have to admit, though, really good looking watch! Love the lack of crown gaurds on Blackbays.

This watch is everything Rolex isn't, classy, refined, the colourways are much better than the rolex Pepsi, so why did I sell it, it such a heavy unbalanced slab of metal to wear on a 6.5 or smaller wrist, the 58 may not excite as much but you know there will be no date issues and it wears so much better, the bezel movement feels much better also

Had it and sold it. The thickness is out of proportion with the rest of the watch.

Is it really a missed opportunity to not have quick-set date? Are there any true GMT watches that actually do have this feature? If not, I believe the reason for this is that even though Rolex/Tudor have multiple movement offerings, there is a lot of shared architecture. Time-only watches have 2 crown positions and GMT and quick-set date watches have 3 (not sure about the Sky-Dweller, can someone else weigh in?). I believe they would have to do away with the jumping hours hand (a more useful feature) or add a 4th crown position to incorporate quick-set date, which probably isn't easy or cheap and would bet it would require a larger case size. Quick-set date is only important if you don't wear the watch often enough to keep it running, and I don't think Rolex and Tudor stand to gain anything by pouring money into R&D for features that don't benefit the daily wearer. Power reserves have been improving but I think that is more of a result of keeping up with the competition and I can't imagine that those technological improvements cost anything near what it would cost to re-work their GMT movements to include quick-set date. If someone is new to GMT watches, they probably had more affordable watches with quick-set date and it makes sense they would assume the manufacturer was just cutting corners. It surprised me to learn about the lack of quick-set date as well, but it immediately made sense after learning the crown positions. Every watch purchase is a compromise. If you bought a true GMT watch without the need or desire for tracking a second time zone, I am afraid you made a compromise that doesn't make sense unless the aesthetics of the GMT are enough for you to offset that.

The lack of dial tidiness at this pricepoint is not acceptable. Thanks for bringing this up! Very good review

Interesting review. Never seen one go so close into the dial. Now I would like to see this compared on other watches. I have a Tudor GMT and have looked close, and haven’t seen any of the dust or scratches. So I makes me wonder.

Under the microscope it is apparent that neither Rolex or Tudor are haute horology, the GMT are tool watches but that Tudor has too many blemish on the hands and hour market at 12, at £3K I don’t expect that in a Tudor.

Can the bezels aluminium inlay be replaced with an official Tudor ceramic one or should this watch just be worn daily and allowed to age with scuffs and scratches especially if its a permanent keeper?

I picked up mine almost two weeks ago...seems like the bezel is easily jammed by salt water and the lume is not so great

The QC on that watch is aweful. I'm lucky I've been all over my GMT with a loupe and have none of those problems. I have seen QC issues on a brand new 58 though.

Tried this one at local Tudor AD..it is a beautiful watch and I wanted to pull the trigger but I am worried about the date wheel issue.

IMHO the scratches and dust are simply unacceptable at this price point. I, personally don’t understand Tudor. But, utterly love Rolex. Cheers for the video.

IMO the Tudor BB GMT is not perfect. I have a Tudor BB GMT with the date wheel defect. Whether I like(d) the watch is no longer relevant. It took less than 3 months for the problem to start and it has/had been inconsistent. I took the watch back to my AD for warranty service and they shipped it off over 2 months ago. I followed up with the AD, they said the goods news is that the repair will be made under warranty (oh, like that would even be in question concerns me) but they are awaiting parts from Geneva with no estimate on the time to repair. So, here I wait. This should not happen to a $4000 watch, either the date wheel problem, or the need of having to wait over 2 months (so far) for a repair. I am on the fence as to whether I would buy it again, the longer the wait, the less likely I would buy it. Moreover, there is no good micro adjustment to the SS band and the mirror polished slab sides are easily subject to scratching. Buyer beware.

A watch of this standard should have been fitted with a ceramic bezel.

Tudor is not owned by Rolex. Tudor and Rolex are owned by a charitable Swiss trust

Rolex don't own Tudor. Hans Wilsdorf Foundation own both Rolex and Tudor.
