I applied ED 1 to tufts and was deferred. After 2 months I was accepted regular decision now being released from my ED contract. Being deferred was the best thing that ever happened to me. I was able to hear back from Johns Hopkins University and Williams college. Despite Tufts being my top choice at the time, and me being devastated after being deferred, I believe it was for the best as now I will be attending Johns Hopkins University instead. I hope to all of you who are deferred or rejected ED that you may have a story like mine. Best of luck to you all, and just know, in the moment it may seem bad, but in the end it may give you an unexpected opportunity.
