And InstrumentManiac or Luke Pickman himself has already polled the storm theme for his next theme in May, and the storm theme came in second behind Duncan‘s rock ‘n’ roll theme. I think Harold and Trevor’s themes were also options, I voted for the storm theme, because it’s always been a soundtrack of struggle and triumph for me; particularly with it’s bass and atmospheric, foggy sound. I also commented, because all the four themes Luke polled were so good; I told him please do all of the above if I could vote for that. He liked it.

I am truly blown away at this one. Tugs has its fans, Tugs has its musical covers. but I don't think I've ever seen one quite so well done with so much effort. The only thing that could possibly have been better would be a cover of the final song, which is the same tune but with lyrics.

When I was very young I have a very specific memory of a little black steam locomotive crashing and being saved by a tug boat, some 15+ years later I found out it was Tugs..... -TTTE & Tugs Fan

I only recently discovered Tugs. It was recommended to me on KZfaq, probably because of my recent interest in watching the first 4 seasons of Thomas. But, the one thing that stuck out to me when I watched the first episode was the Opening Theme. It is beautiful and not something you would expect for such a show.

Never watched or heard of tugs before but when I heard it was the sister series to Thomas I had to check it out and this video is one of the reasons I’m into tugs now amazing

I watched Thomas as a kid and grew up with it...I'm sad I never watched Tugs more when I was younger. The intro theme is so awesome, especially once the saxophone gets involved.

There's such a sense of whimsy in this music and a lot of songs like it from this era. That's probably why, even though I've barely seen this show, I felt such a strong sense of nostalgia listening to your arrangement (that and it's freaking amazing, as usual). Getting an actual narrator for the spoken-word part was just the cherry on top!

I love Victor Tanzig's Stories of Sodor series, and this is the intro theme song for it, and I never knew where it was from, and now I know. This cover of the Tugs theme is amazing, and so are you.

I grew up with Thomas the tank engine and watched the older episodes from season 1 and I tried watching a little bit of Tugs on KZfaq and this is beyond amazing what these people pulled off! ❤️🔥

I was imagining the original being done on a Roland at the time (but I don't know for sure) but I am loving wholeheartedly watching the instrumental break down and Neil is just such a good match for the late Patrick Allen. Excuse me I need to go watch again.

Did we ever even get this show in the United States? After doing some research, I discovered that segments of the show were used on a children's series called Salty's Lighthouse. Also, the same people who created this show and the Thomas and Friends series also directed some of the episodes of Theodore Tugboat, hence the similarity.

America never got a TUGS release, hence why there was never an American dub like how Thomas got one when they started airing here in the US.
