Early flight to Palma Mallorca, mid March 2022. Most Covid restrictions lifted in UK but masks still in force indoors in Spain at this time. Covid vaccination pass and Spanish Health locator form were required to enter Spain. Return UK passenger locator form was scrapped from Friday 18 March 2022 so didn't need to complete whilst we were there. Mask wearing on plane advised but not mandatory.

Hi Jack, the cabin crew told us it was optional…..I would say more than half chose to wear one, mine was on and off! Think the latest advice from Spain with rising cases is that they have to be worn…my advice, always have a mask on you!

@@helennuttall great video amazing love the colours of the sky at the time of you boarding the plane I’m so excited really great video amazing love the jet engines at full power for take off just booked and paid for me to go to the Dominican Republic next year with the tui Dreamliner 787 so excited really am it’s a late birthday present to myself amazing colours of the sky

Hi Helen. It has been a while since we last communicated. The airport footage is all too familiar if a little less crowded than in the past. It is nice to see that flying is back on the agenda. Not sure we are quite ready to venture abroad just yet, we are just thinking of a short breaks in the Uk. You did not say where your destination was. Historically we have been to Mallorca several times over the years. Mostly to Palmanova , Puerto Pollenca which were always our favourites. Kind regards B.J.

Hi Barry, great to see your comment, hope you are both well. It was our first venture abroad since Oct 19 and it was all very quiet and smooth with it being so early in the year. 🙏 We stayed in Cala Bona at the Bonaire…..hotel video already posted, wild and windy Cala Bona / Cala Millor video to come shortly!

Hi Aiden, it was a smooth journey. The pilot told us there may be some turbulence over southern France but we seemed to avoid it! Enjoy Alcudia 😎

@@helennuttall hi i just got back today and it wqs delayed by 6 HOURS FROM PALMA and it was horrible the terbulance was unavoidable as we flew through the clouds of france turbulence but my holis was great and on the way there was much better . Im still gettong over how dangerous the flight was as we had to use an old tui plane that barely worked

How easy is all this Covid and form filling to do for checks at DSA ? My parents are Travelling to Majorca and they don’t have smart phones or anything, any advice appreciated x

Hi, returning to the UK was as normal, no locator form to complete or vaccination proof required. Going out to Spain we needed to complete the Spanish Health Form online two days before departure, who then send you a QR code to show at the airport. I printed these off from my email. I also printed off our Covid vaccination certificates via the NHS website or you can request these by phone. Basically I think if you don’t have a smartphone you need to have support from family members to print off the necessary stuff…..they definitely checked both the Covid pass and the Spanish health form at both airports going out…..but none at all coming back. This is changing all the time of course so keep a check on the gov.uk/ travel website.
