1. Belgium offers students a ‘search year’ visa same as post study visa to stay back and find a job. 2. You can’t travel with dependent immediately even as phd student, you have to be financially stable and fulfill other criteria (no time slot). 3. There are English taught courses. Some schools request this English exam. Some accept English proficiency letters. While, for some schools it is not a general requirement but certain courses needs English exam and not English proficiency.

Preparatory for masters? I would believe that you need sufficient experience to undertake a nursing program or a law program. I don’t see a switch happening as nursing won’t be in English in the first instance and in some cases Law course. Also, both fields are distinct

I cannot speak on a general note, but I know to a large extent Flemish universities like to take students with good to excellent grades. But one tip I can offer is to apply to preparatory programs if the course has one, but international students needs to be admitted onto a course that is 54-60 credits and most preparatory programs are not always up to that. So, you have to apply to both preparatory and master together and pay the application fees for both. This is not a guarantee it is just my suggestion. You can also apply to technical or applied courses universities in Belgium.

You can apply for any available scholarship within the time frame. Another thing is that, it also depends on how you package your motivation letter and your entire application. You may want to find the positive sides of your education and do not mention your grade in the letter of intent or motivation letter.
