Schneewittchen is pronounced Schnee-witch-ien and is the girl with the seven dwarves. Both are translated as Snow White into English but they are different characters from different stories.

@@ColdSkinGamer yeah, I don't remember who it was (I watch a lot of dnd stuff) but someone I watched said it was kind of underwhelming, particularly compared to eldritch knight. They talked about how the eldritch knight can make multiple attacks and has the cantrip ability, but I don't think they really looked at the high level spell combos. Again, they didn't say it was bad, just meh when compared to the other martial spellcaster options like eldritch knight and paladin.

Sadly, by the time of this video's release, Tasha's isn't *officially* out yet, so he's gotta stick with the Sword Coast book. That being said, it is to his benefit that Tasha's is effectively lifting the requirement for Bladesinger. ^^

@@SlvrStryker I wrote this more so that people watching the video would know about the coming changes. Mostly the change to Extra Attack.

It'll also introduce the Summon Construct spell, which (depending on the details on the spell; it was the only "Summon" spell in Tasha's that didn't already appear in UA) would make a solid way for Weiss to summon her knight before the endgame of a campaign. (Also, Tasha's Bladesingers have the ability to swap out one of their Attack-action attacks for a cantrip, which opens up Green-Flame Blade and Booming Blade as options.)

I mean just do it outside? As a DM. My minor villain had this spell, and the fear of fall damage alone was enough to send my party into a panic. Not mentioning the fact that I also cast transmute rock under them. Dropped them into the mud. Then casting dispel magic to turn it back into stone, and freeze them still.

@@awesomechainsaw Yeah doing it anywhere without a ceiling gives you access to a 10d6 fall damage spell, but that's lower damage than upcasting lower spells. If there's a 100 foot high ceiling though, then targets fall twice, once they'll hit the ceiling, then you can drop concentration and have them hit the ground. Even without that many creatures are left helplessly dangling in the air though.

@@apex2000 You trade the level 19 of the Wiz which gives you an extra ASI/Feat and a level 6 spell slot. Since with a point buy you still max out your important stats personally i think it's worth it two have 2 levels of Fighter, don't sleep on Action Surge and a few extra hit points. Usually I love to RP use it in situations where the character is stressed for one reason or another and its do or die time, plus hey, short brake options. If you really wanna rob yourself of such a cool RP and mechanical option though, grab the Tough feat and just get 40 extra HP at level 20. While obviously insanely good keep in mind numbers are boring, abilities are always more fun. Sorry for the long reply, as you can probably guess we are all passionate about tabletop on this channel lol.

@@budderswifteleven1347 That's how I did my Weiss build, 5 lvls College of Swords Bard and 15 lvls Bladesinger Wizard. I figured that the degree of education that Weiss would have undergone in her training to be heiress for the SDC would be reflected by the Jack of All Trades ability, and I took Bard to lvl 5 to get Font of Inspiration, so she could refresh her Bardic inspiration and Flourishes every short rest rather than long rest.

The best bet for the villain would probably be Hazel or Salem. Hazel- Bear Totem Barbarian 12/Dragon Monk 8 with Fighting Initiate (Unarmed)- Resistance to all but psychic damage with Rage and hits like a magical truck. Not sure what a Salem build would be; definitely a crapload of healing spells (used on herself) and some solid damage options.

He's definitely a Battle Smith (Artificer) given that Norm must be a Steel Defender. From there, get creative with spells and infusions. The only downside is you'll have to choose a few regular -inators as you can only change them on level-up. Unless your DM is cool. Intelligence is your primary stat, followed by Constitution (you get beat up by a platypus everyday and bounce right back), Charisma (you and said platypus end up as friends, sort of. Frenemies), Wisdom, Dex, and Strength. Those last three can and should be dumped.

She's made Boarbatuesk twice. Once at the ball in V4, and again to spook Nora at dinner in the house in V5. She's never used it in combat, but really, it's a low-level grimm.

I honestly hate that they added summoning to Weiss' kit. The writers completely devalued her character after that. Weiss' semblance is criminally OP but since the introduction of summons she always, always tries to go for some big ass summon and she gets capped for it every damn time. Her fighting style went from an actual three dimensional combat with so much options to a sitting duck with no critical thinking in a fight.

@@zahariusgallicchio I have to disagree. Although that was true of the fight in V5, in V6, the only time she summoned was at the end of the volume for the fight vs the mecha, and the kaiju, and in both cases the summon was a definite addition to the fight. She didn't summon for either the fight on the train, or vs the apathy. Her fight v Marrow in 7 you could argue she was overly stationary, playing a support role to her own summons, however, she didn't summon during the fights either in the opening episode, or for the battle in the mines. In addition, the fight Marrow was a good fight, and she got a much needed solo win.

It does work with Wiess's musical background, but I don't know if Wiess actually plays an instrument. Her singing is amazing, but she always has someone else play the music. The guardian from cleric spells is a better match for the knight summon, as he's not actually ice either.

@@bskec2177 yeah, I totally agree. The singing was actually part of the ispiration, but the Sword College has a weapon as a spellcasting Focus, so she doesn't need a instrument.

Bard doesn’t really get access to most of the spells weiss needs outside of magical secrets (haste, any ice spells, sone fire stuff, whirlwind etc.) and with only six magical secret spell it would always leave some spell out.

@@gamemasteranthony2756 In Canada we don't compare temps to the balmy weather of Oslo Norway (average Jan temp -5C). The coldest Oslo ever got was -29.8 c or -21 f. Winnipeg has an average Jan of -18c, and a record of -45 c, or -41 f. It is the coldest city south of the arctic circle, and is colder than most that are north of it. We don't call it Winter-peg for nothing.

Ye. Someone above made a good point about this being a build where the point buy would be a better choice than standard array for this build because you want Int and Dex max so badly on this.

Personally, having the capped dex feels a lot better than having a once per rest ability.

I did the same thing with my bladesinger Wizard. Add the Tough feat and good rolls for HP on level ups, and i was 2nd highest HP after the barbarian. XD I showed the sheet to another dnd friend and he said "thats illegal. Wizards should not have that much health."

The sad thing is with how Weiss is at the beginning of the series True Strike actually makes sense.

Summoning was literally the worst thing to be added to Weiss' kit in the show. It took her fighting style from something interesting and quite literally 3 dimensional to "stand still and get capped" and I hate it. Weiss' semblance is hilariously OP but all of that gets ignored for big glowy knight/bee/bird.

And Tasha's is making it so that you can replace on of your attacks with a cast of a Cantrip. And making it so that you can bladesong a number of times per rets equal to your proficiency bonus

Cavalier Fighter and Crown Paladin are both based around protecting allies; perhaps one of those could work for Guardian. Not watched Log Horizon though, so not sure on how accurate they'd be.

Honestly you could get 90% of the build concept from the first season alone. As for Guardian, there are a few options. Battle Master (Fighter) Maneuvers can offer some tanking options, and the 6th level Oath of Redemption (Paladin) Class feature lets you take damage for others. There's also Cavalier (Fighter) which offers many tanking options, including a class feature that's a slightly improved Sentinel feat. Alternately, you could just take the Sentinel feat at some point. Constitution and Strength are your focuses - in that order, as you're focused on absorbing damage, not dealing it - and Wisdom and Charisma are your dump stats. Remember, the big tiddy Guild Master likes you because you're big, not because you're an open pervert. I'd say that trying to make a Shiroe build is difficult, but a lot of his spells give me a Druid vibe, despite the fact that he doesn't transform into animals or summon. He's focused on buffs and crowd control, to which the Druid spell list lends itself. A key point in this build is playing with a DM that's fine with you making your own spells, or at least altering existing spells. This is fun, but can be difficult to balance. From my perspective a player's self-made spells should be more powerful than what's on offer (except something like fireball, of course) because otherwise WHAT'S EVEN THE POINT? However this can lead to unbalancing the party, which tends to be un-fun.

@@adamlawther6356 Log Horizon has 2 seasons now, but season 3 is supposed to be starting up next year. That said, a lot of material is glossed over in the anime so to get a full read on what everyone can do it is necessary to go through the Light Novels (original source material) and tie-in manga series (there are like 3 of those) to get a more comprehensive read on things. You can find the second season a Hulu but you'll have to look somewhere else for the first season, I have no idea why they only have the second season but on the first there though
